Question about Miele S758 Bagged Canister Vacuum
The electronic control on the hose keeps turning the cleaner off or dropping it to min power, can I replace the electrics or replace them. or will I have to buy a replacement hose. The turbo brush only works sometimes and on full power does it need a new drive belt

I have the same model and possibly a similar problem. You don't say whether the control lights for the turbo head (on the top of the suction pipe) are still illuminated when it stops. I have found that the machine will sometimes shut down with the turbo head stopping and the suction level dropping automatically to zero, and, as you say no red overheat light.

Wish you had listed the model number of the vac and of the powerhead. The plug going into the cannister, is it pushed all of the way in, also same for the plug going into the hose end? You can hook up the powerhead plug to a/c and see if it runs, if it does, then it is ok. Unhook the hose and plug and hook up a/c to that plug end and see if the powerhead will run, if not maybe the switch on the hose handle has a problem. Otherwise you have a problem in the cannister. If this is brand new, then it has a warranty, take in for repair.

I don't have the exact same model as you guys, but maybe my situation is similar to yours. My Miele Silver moon model won't turn on one day. I took it to a Miele authorized repair shop ( they all offer free estimate on finding the problem first, then they will tell you what the repair cost will be). They said my vacuum cord reel shim was damaged. The damage was caused by over stretching the cord while I vacuumed. According to them the shim is kind of like a clip that holds the cord inside the vacuum. When the shim is damaged, the cords are pulled apart and electricity can no longer pass through. That would expalin why it won't turn on. The repair cost was not too bad, it costed forty-six dollars. I hope this helps.
