Question about Asko W6441 Front Load Washer

Open Question

ASKO W6561 Machine works on all parts of programme when put on separately but wont move from the main wash to rinse programme - it just gets to 1 minute left on main wash programme and keeps on the main wash. If you then put on the rinse/spin prgramme it all works fine - it just doesn't move on automatically. Any ideas? I assume it must be something wrong with the computer.

Main wash light flashing is a heating fault. You either have a faulty temp sensor (NTC) or the pressure chamber has blocked and the heater element has popped.

SOURCE: Asko W620 washing machine not spinning

Sounds like the motor brushes need to be cleaned or replaced. Take the back off the washer, remove the motor and gently scrape the excess carbon or debris off the brushes with a pocket knife. I did this and it ran well for about 50 loads before building back up. I am ordering new brushes now because when I checked the brushes last week they were obviously worn more than 4 weeks ago.

No reset. Carbon brushes are worrn out. Consider changing the bearings while you have the motor apart. Se http://www.nettoparts.co.uk/shop/frontpage.html for spares.

SOURCE: asko 10625 will not spin

it is probably the belt, take off the back of the machine and look at the black rubber belt that spins the cleaning drum. The belts break after about 5 years, you can get a replacement belt at you local Asko dealer, I recall that is was pretty easy to change, like doing a bike chain, Talk to you Asko dealer about how to change it.

Hi and welcome to FixYa I am Kelly. This is not a solution so feel free to reject the answer. I just want to state that everything Service and repair info for this washer is written in Persian and that I can not locate any English data to help you.

The gradually stop spinning problem is most likely the clutch pads are worn and unrealted to your drain issue. (Clutches wear out quickly when the user washes more clothes than the machines' actual capacity.)

The always draining problem is most likely due to the motor not reversing for agitation. This can be 1. a broken wire 2. A bad timer assy 3. a bad motor. 4. Water level Pressure switch None of which you wanted to hear I am sure.

Like I said feel free to reject this answer. Who knows maybe we have an expert here at FixYa that can read persian and help you. I do not know of any at this time but, it does not hurt to try.

Kelly

My asko regardless of selected wash program stops after the main wash, it will drain the water, but then not start the rinse cycles. The washing machine will allow you to open the door. I thought it was...

When your rinse cycle does not work it is your outlet filter that is clogged. If this is a front loader the small door is in the bottom front side of machine. Be prepared for some water to come out when u open the door. Unscrew and clean out filter and refit.

Also please note
with the Asko there are several possible things that can interupt the cycle either during wash or drain/spin. Have you checked the pump insert/button trap for debris or obstruction of any kind ? ( below main door to the left ) Are you using "he" ( lo-sudsing ) detergent ? Does the machine provide any error code, i.e. If it's a mechanical timer model does it stop at "C" or "S" or if electronic a symbol in the display ? Will it complete a cycle without any items in the basket ( empty ) ? Will the unit rotate in both directions and will it spin if you try both parts of that specific cycle ? This will help determine if the problem is with the drive motor brushes.

How much for the repair manual and trouble shooting guide for my W6021 asko asea front loader, it will not heat, but the heater is good!

Hi.

The thermistor is located near to the heating element(pt.40) and motor(pt.6). The thermistor/holder assembly is part 31/31in picture below:

d0233ee.gif

To get the full part manual click here. The assembly is at pages 4/5.

Here the part.

To test the thermistor remove it from circuit and read Ohms at its terminals. If the thermistor is good it must read zero or very low impedance. If it reads open, then it is broken.

If this solution was helpful, then please do not forget to accept the solution. Your feedback is important to us.

Regards.

Asko w6221 front load washer stops after wash cycle

Do all of your cycles work when you turn them manually? If one cycle does not work when you turn the dial on it then it will be your timer (The dial assembly $100-up) If all your cycles work manually, then it could be your timer motor which is attached to your timer assembly. If you turn the dial pass the wash, on to the rinse, does the dial automaticly move (when finishng the rinse cycle)to the spin cycle? If so then your timer motor is ok. The only wires close to the bottom are the motor, but these should be high enough out of the way.
