There's a possibility computer is trying to boot from another device. Here's what you can do to set your HDD as the primary boot device:
1. First, turn on the PC and as the computer starts up hit the F12 key, this should bring up boot options, select HDD if it's in the list.
2.If not hit F2 as it starts and enter the BIOS.
3. Then, look for the boot option and set the HDD as the primary boot device, hit F10, save the changes and exit.
The computer will restart and hopefully boot into the operating system. If in case that you'll get the same message then sounds like your HDD is dead. Your disk drive is no longer recognized as a bootable drive.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for using FixYa.

Check underneath and use a small screwdriver to open the small rectangular panel with the image of a stack of CDs near it. This is where the Hard Drive sits.
Check to see if the Hard Drive is properly fitted properly docked into its socket and screwed down or held down properly so it is immobile during use.
If this is not the problem, tap the Fn + the correct function key to enter the Boot Menu at Start Up and use the keyboard arrows to select the Hard Drive boot option.
Make sure there is no CD or DVD in the Optical Drive.
If none of these is the problem then, regrettably, your hard drive may have failed, so remove it and test it in a hard drive dock or an external 2.5" Hard Drive Enclosure.
If it has failed you will obviously need a new hard drive, bootable operating system disc, drivers disc and programs and security software to reinstall everything to the new hard drive.
Unfortunately, any data on the old drive will be lost.
It is very unusual for a Hard Drive to fail suddenly without some prior warning or signs of failing (the only realistic way would probably be through a drop, severe knock, serious mains power surge or mains power cut, incorrect shutdown procedure, or sudden disconnection of the power cable during use).
Back up regularly to an external storage device and do not ignore any warning signs. Also plug all computer equipment to the mains via a Surge Protector/Suppressor to prevent damage from power surges or fluctuations.
I hope this helps

This sometimes shows up if the floppy drive is set as the first boot
device in Bios, and the disk in the floppy drive is not bootable.
Have you attempted to boot to Safe Mode? To enter the Safe Mode menu, continually tap the F8 key just after powering on the computer.
If you're abe to boot to Safe Mode, try choosing the option "Last known good configuration" as the boot option.
If this doesn't work, try Safe Mode (with or without Networking)
We need to know if you can even boot before continuing. If you can't boot then you may need to do a Windows repair. Do you have the OS Disc?
