Need Lexar JumpDrive S50 USB Flash Drive driver download

Need the driver download for the Lexar JumpDrive S50 USB Flash Drive. Purchased this item, and Windows 7 cannot detect it. Been searching for the driver online. No success.

  • Anonymous Jan 17, 2013

Perhaps I could add more to my question. I realize the Lexar Jumdrive S50 is plug and play, but for some reason it can not be found on my system. (Windows 7) I can see it in Add devices, and when I check for driver updates, or troubleshoot, Windows detects my driver is upto date, and no other issues. But I can not locate the stick through My Computer or any other means. Can someone perhaps give me a few more ideas...?Thanks

SOURCE: When i plug in the jumpdrive on any computer it says USB device not recognized, please help

Well, it’s a super simple solution! No need to edit the registry, uninstall drivers, or anything of that sort.
Simply UNPLUG YOUR COMPUTER FROM THE POWER SUPPLY
Yes that’s it! Note that this does not mean just turning off your computer because modern computers don’t really turn off when you press the power button as the motherboard still gets power.

First to explain, the motherboard is where all of hardware of the computer is connected to, including the USB ports. Sometimes the motherboard needs to be “rebooted” also because something can go wrong, i.e. all your USB ports suddenly stop working. The small microprocessor on the motherboard will reload the drivers and your USB ports should be back to recognizing all devices!
So first turn off your computer using Shut Down or pressing the power button and then UNPLUG it from the wall outlet. Let it sit for about a minute and then plug it back in.
Hope this helps someone fix that pesky “USB device not recognized” Windows error!

P.S. if it is a laptop, power up the laptop with just the batteries, not plugged in to fix this issue.

Give this a try and come back to tell us if it worked or not.

SOURCE: Please show me step by step on using the Lexar 2GB

What operating system are you using? Should work with XP and Vista. Go to windows explorer and click on C drive, click photos folder, select required photo, click and drag icon to the Firefly icon and release mouse button. File should be copied to jump drive.

SOURCE: Have windows xp I need a driver for a lexar 2.0 4GB

No driver needed, when plugged in it should just appear in My Computer. If it doesn't that means the memory stick is dead, junk it.

this could a problem with an unstable driver you might have to unistall the driver restart your computer then reinstall the driver

if you motherboard came with a disk the drivers could be on it
otherwise you might need to download them
or a bad dusty or loose usb lead connection

click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question / exclamation mark? ! or a red X

you will need to update/reinstall drivers

right click to reinstall drivers

if you can see your usb drive but its not working

ports (com&lpt) right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem

check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems to a computer and its parts

you will need to download one try one of these

How do I get my document back from Lexar 8GB JumpDrive TwistTurn - USB Flash Drive

Hi Sarah... We will need to know a few more specifics before any information can be given to you. What program where you in, and what type of document were you trying to save. If you were in Microsoft Word, you can go up to the "file" menu, and look for "recent items". At that point, you would be able to open the document that you were working on, and then save it to your location of choice. What you might find simpler in the future, is to simply save documents to your desktop, and then drag them to the flash drive directly from there. At that point, you will have the document both on your desktop and the flash drive, and you can then take the documents it is still on your desktop, and move it into your documents folder...

If using a PC, considering you have the USB driver installed (perform windows update first and install any suggested/required updates), plug in the flash drive, open the windows explorer, locate the flash drive, right mouse click on the name of the drive, a window should appear and select format with a left button click to execute.
