Question about 4103LX Remote Start System with Two 4Button Remote

1 Answer

Windshield wipers will not turn off.

The first time using the wipers after having the remote start installed, they will not shut off. Didn't know if it was caused by the installation or if it is the wipers themselves.

Went back and they checked the wiring. Said they couldn't find anything wrong, but after I left wipers worked just fine. Thanks!

Wow...I would return to the place where the installation was done. It's possible that the installer either tapped into the wire or, left the wire exposed after testing it.

My turn signals, windshield wipers and rear window defroster stopped working all at the same time. The fuse and multi-function switch are both fine.

Check all fuses with test light or multimeter. I tend to agree with you that it is probably a fuse. Not knowing of any "hidden" fuses or in-line fuses on that system. But sometimes other fuses that are not labeled as wiper or turn signal might be used for power also. So, check all fuses including the ones under the hood.

How To Install Replace Windshield Wiper motor on a Honda Odyssey

Put the right side wiper on only. Turn on wipers. When the wiper moves all the way to the left and starts to go back to the right turn off the ignition with the wiper switch still on. Remove the right wiper arm and install the left wiper arm in the far left of the wiper movement. Turn on ignition and allow the left wiper to go all the way back to it's rest location at the bottom of the windshield. Turn off ignition and install the right side wiper arm. This will give you a start to properly set the wiper arms.

Windshield wiper 1989 f150

YOU ARE NOT USING TO MUCH POWER. YOU HAVE A SHORT SOMEWHERE IN THE SYSTEM OR SOMEONE PRIOR TO YOU WIRED THE RADIO INTO A POWER LINE THAT WAS INCORRECT. FOR EXAMPLE- SOMEONE INSTALLED AN AFTERMARKET STEREO AND DIDN'T QUITE KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND GRABBED THE FIRST HOT WIRE THY COULD TAP INTO FOR POWER TO THE RADIO. RUNS THE WIRES OUT TO THE RADIO. THE RADIO SHOULD RUN BACK TO T THE FUSE BLOCK ON THE POWER SIDE.

After replacing the windshield wiper motor on my 1996 dodge caravan the wipers park in the complete opposite position. If I readjust the arm on the motor, the wipers go down not up over the windshield. Is...

This is an old but very current problem also. I just replace my second 97 caravan motor in 6 months because of severe grinding noise and it was the motor both times. I got another re-mfg replacement motor last week and it is totally quiet.
Before you install the crank arm on the motor you operate the wiper switch in all positions to check that the computer is running it intermittently, slow and fast etc. that it and shuts it off at the same position every time. That shut off position is park.
Unplug the external motor connector or fuses. Now push the mechanism arms fully to the right and install the crank arm at two o'clock on the motor shaft, which gives you just enough room to install the hold down nut. Hold one of the metal bars so you don't turn the motor during tightening the nut.
Now reconnect the power plug and test the operation. The motor should shut off with the right end arms fully extended, which, when connected with the blade arm, will make them stop at the bottom of the windshield. Install the driver side wiper arm slightly above level and the left arm 4 inches below that. Don't power tighten yet. Test the operation. If they hit each other adjust one or the other away. This works for most all wiper adjustments. When you get everything looking right and sweeping the full window and not the body. Start tightening and putting every thing back together.
Also clean out the wiper pan and the two drain hoses. The hoses can be pulled loose below the pan. LOL
