Use OHM's law. wattage divided by voltage=amperage The bed should have an info sheet attached showing how many volts ( I am guessing 110 VAC) and it's wattage rating. I found that Zenith and Sunquest may be one in the same. Here is a link to the info sheet they have. Zenith/Sunquest Sun Bed Specs Link Looks like they draw a serious load, averaging 50 amps. Be sure to allow enough extra amperage in the circuit as to not overload and keep popping breakers.

Can you use 5.5 kw element in 4.0 kw balboa 58104 unit i ordered wrong part

The 5.5 KW unit will draw an additional 5 amps on the electrical circuit. There may be issues with wire size, switches and relays, and physical size. If it fits, and the wire size is at least #8, you should be good to go.

Can I use the existing 40 amp double pole breaker?

Hi,

Rule of live by: Each unit must have its own breaker. Cooktop needs 30 amps and a double oven needs 40 amps. Never combine the unit as the amps flow if too high can cause the wires to melt. I hope this helps. Be safe!

I HAVE A 3 PHASE 480V. 50 AMP TED134050 BREAKER WHICH FEEDS A 45 K.W. TRANSFORMER.WHICH TRIPS OCCASIONALLY, NOT OFTEN. IT RESETS O.K. WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST?

Hi,

I would get an amp metetr on it and see what the load is.... if it is running continually at over 40 amp. then you are overloading it...and need to shed some load...

If it is not then the breaker is going bad and needs to be replaced...

Goodman unit blows 45 amp fuses only in heat mode, worked fine all summer on a/c. It works well for some time then blows them again.

Check the breakers on the unit How many KW--electric heat? Check to see if you have the right wires wired up to the correct breaker cause some units have 40---and ---60 ---amps breakers and your thickest wire could be wired to the 40-amp breakers,, (some 5 KW pullls 19-23 amps respectably some breakers have 7.5 KW heat stips and pulls more and if the wire size can,t cary the amps, then all you have to do is reduce a heat strip.
