a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: E220 Modem Disconnects
First of all, is the Vista computer located at the SAME location as the G4? A USB modem (which I have on one of out LAN machines) will have a much smaller antenna than a "normal size" unit, say a DLINK or LinkSYS unit. This makes the location of the receiver much more critical. Since you are using it in a laptop, may I suggest that you take it to the same location as the Vista machine and try it there? As you probably know, when dealing with cm wavelengths, moving an antenna a few centimetres can make all the difference. Try that first to try to isolate the problem. (IE: if it still fails at the PC location, then it's most likely a software issue on the G4.. just a guess though..)
Vista (..who says you can't polish a turd....)

idea uses huawei eg162g data card to unlock this you need to edit the deviceinfo.xml file
go through it and where ever it is written "<item name="WCDMA" Alias="" SMMode="PDU" ProductNet="WCDMA" SimUnlock="Y">" change it to <item name="WCDMA" Alias="" SMMode="PDU" ProductNet="WCDMA" SimUnlock="N">
and save the file remember it is right protected file. to overwrite this save the edited file to some other location and then copy and paste in the program files/idea net setter/
close your idea net setter and restart net setter now you can use any sim cards

unfortunately the download speed of the e220 are really bad I know I had it .then i upgraded to the e180 and it has 7.2 Mbs and is great for bittorent if thats what you wanted to forward ports for . But you can't portforward with either but for the e180 you get great speeds even without the portforwarding eg bittorent downloads at 180- 200 Kilobytes per second . Hope that clarified it for you
