Some people prefer to take baths rather than shower as a hot bath can be very relaxing, particularly if you have any stress that you want to relieve.
Many people prefer to shower rather than take a bath if they are washing after exercise, but it's really a matter of personal choice and wont do you any harm to bathe regularly.

Can hot baths help with muscle strain?

Hot baths can be really helpful to relieve stress and tension and in particularly to loosen muscle strains which benefit from heat treatments.
Some people add essential oils to their baths such as lavender and then massage the affected areas while they are in the bath.
Good luck

The Benefits of a Hot Bath

Showers might be more practical, but there's nothing more relaxing than a hot bath at the end of a long hard day.
Here are some of the benefits that emersing yourself in a long slow bath can give you.

Aromatherapy:
Try esssential oils, added to your bath water to relax both your body and your mind. Get advice from someone who understand essential oils so that you use the right one for you. Something like eucalyptus oil is great for helping with colds and congestion.

Sleeping:
It's not just a myth. Scientists have proved that having a hot bath will help you get a better night's sleep with less interuptions.
Insomniacs sometimes say that taking hot baths before bedtime is the only way they can fall asleep.

Solitude:
This is especially true for mothers and busy working parents. All day we have demands on our time. The phone never stops ringing or we have work pressure. But soaking in a hot bath is a great way not only to switch off the world around you but to find a space to be alone. Some people like to put music on but many just enjoy the rare silence and peacefulness that comes with lying under hot water in the bath.

Stress Reduction:
Apparently, taking baths can actually lower your blood pressure and stress levels. Possibly it's related to the way that your mind can really switch off and wander as you lay back in the bath.

Give it a try - you've got nothing to lose and a lot to gain.
Enjoy!

When is the best time to put lotion on?

The best time to put lotion on is when you just get out of a warm shower because all of your pours are open and ready to suck the moisture in.

I can not close my bath tub drain. the plunger is all internal and wont come out either. I tried a coat hanger to push it down. no go.

on most tubs the stopper is made to come out! does the stopper have 2 screws at the stopper lever. if it does just remove these screws and pull the stopper out slowly. when putting in a new one. have the same length as the old one, then slide it back in the drain fairly slow until it goes all the way in. replace screws and try it! good-day!

Ailcan i give daily bath to my shih tzu? he's barely 3-month old.

I would not give him a daily bath unless directed to by a vet. Animals have natural oils in their skin and fur which protect them from environmental irritants and keep their fur and skin healthy. Bathing daily will disrupt this. One bath a month or two if he is very dirty should be fine for his health. Use a shampoo specially formulated for small dogs and avoid his face and eyes while washing. You do need to brush long haired pets every day for optimum coat health and to avoid mats and tangles, or have his fur clipped short and brush weekly.

Can i use the timer for a water headter to trun on and off

Paragon 8145-20 is a 240V defrost timer
It is probably not best choice for water heater timer
Timer initiates defrost cycles each 4 hours.

A water heater timer should have more scheduling options.
-For example estimates show average run-time for water heater is 3 hours per day, depending on incoming water temperature, thermostat setting, and number of gallons used.
-To save money using water heater timer, you have to schedule times carefully so water heater runs less than 3 hours per day.
-Now your average electric water heater heats about 20 gallons per hour.
-Average shower uses 4-9 gallons hot water, so water heater needs to run 15-30 minutes (15 summer, 30 winter)
-Average bath uses 12-15 gallons hot water so water heater runs 45-60 minutes
-But lets say you run water heater for 1 hour and make 20 gallons of hot water. Then you take a shower, expecting hot water to remain in tank.
-Here's the problem ... cold water entered the tank to replace the shower water ... and the new cold water is cooling the rest of the tank.
-So a timer means scheduling hot water to match shower and bath events. For example taking shower and bath in immediate succession.
-Or set the timer for each individual hot water event ... for example set timer for 1/2 hour for shower, and later timer turns on 1 hour for bath, or 1-1/2 hr for 2 baths, etc
-> The flexible programming described above is not a characteristic of defrost timers.
I suggest Intermatic WH-31 240V or Intermatic T-104 240V or GE 15207. These are mechanical repeat-24 hour timers with manual override where each day has same schedule.
Digital programmable timers like Intermatic EH40 offer 7-day, 40 event programming. Weekends and weekdays can be different.
