Question about Computers & Internet
When I switch it on....the monitor does not display anything at all
The first thing you should try is to connect it to an external monitor if you can, (you will probably have to press one of the F keys to change to external) if that works then you have a problem with the laptop screen. If it doesn't work then you will have to look at different options.

In Safe mode drivers, in your case the video one, aren't loaded. Uninstall the one that you have now. If it's the same then probably it's a hardware problem. To be sure boot from a Linux Live-CD like http://www.pclinuxos.com/ and press the Escape key - this way you will see the boot-log in real time, look for error messages.

change the ram memory ...this issues appear when the ram memory is not functional like it should..if you have a way to borrow some just to try ..you will make an ideea
If you have more than one boards in the laptop..remove one by one ..and try to boot with the other/s until you locate the one with problem..
