Question about Gear Head Computers & Internet
It's A 1.3 MP WebCam For PC By Gear Head. It Was Working Great When I Had Windows 7 H.P. Since I Upgraded To Windows 8 Pro, It No Longer Works. Every time I Turn It On, It Makes The PC Go Off And It Reboots. This Has Happened Close To 12 times. Any And All Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated. It Claims That You Don't Need A Driver, It Came With An Install Disk Which Had Install Something Called: WebCam Videocap. I Guess It Is A Desktop Short Cut. I Haven't Seen Any Drivers. I'd Like To Get This Working Again A.S.A.P.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

If you have it still installed on your old computer and still have that computer you may be able to tell what brand and model it is from there. If it's a USB webcam you might need to plug it into the old computer for this.
In the Mac OS your webcam would probably show up on your computer's desktop as it's own icon and tell you what brand it is and possibly model as well.
If you're working in Windows, you should be able to view it from your device manager. Let me know if you're working on a Mac or other OS and need instructions on how to look at the webcam's properties in there. There also may be associated software installed on your old computer that says the brand name and/or model to give you clues.
Often in Windows webcams have software that runs automatically when the computer's on and it's plugged in (sometimes even when it's not plugged in) that also makes a little icon (picture) in the bottom right of a Windows screen, by the time. Hovering over the icons that look like your webcam should allow you to pick the correct one to open and identify what webcam you have.
If you don't still have it installed or don't have access to your old computer, you may be able to recognize it on common webcam sites. Logitech makes popular webcams & their site has pics of their different models so you can get the correct download here: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/support_downloads/downloads/webcams/&cl=us,en
All this is assuming that you tried plugging it in already. If you haven't tried it, you might want to as OS's often come pre-loaded with various device drivers.
Hope that helps! :)

SOURCE: eVision 123 Webcam drivers
I just recently had to refind and reinstall mine.
This is a link to a driver download for th eVision 123 digital camera that has worked for me running Win XP. Hope it helps. Once you download and unzip the file, restart your computer and go to the setup file to start. for some reason the setup file doesn't seem to want to run until you restart. after the software is installed it works great. see the description on the page for more details of what is included in this setup. hope it works good for you too. And remeber to pay good deeds forward, if you come across someone else who needs this driver offer them the same link. DON'T FORGET TO BACK IT UP TO CD!!!! LOL
