I had the same problem. I attempted to solve it by using two EZYcaps with the idea of splitting the sound and video streams but as they use the same driver that didn't work. Splitting the video and sound inputs to two USB ports is the key to success. What did work was when I tried plugging in an old USB SoundBlaster sound stick. It is a little thing like a thumb drive but with two mini jacks, one for mic and one for earphones. I plug the mic into the SoundBlaster and the S-Video into the EzyCap. As the SoundBlaster uses a different driver they don't clash.
I also use "SplitCam" to put it all back together and stream the whole lot to the internet. Split Cam also lets me stream to inSpeak video chat while I also stream to Livestream. check out the results on www bgemc.org site. The second EzyCap sits as a spare in my bag. I also audio record the service at the same time. This is all done through a Toshiba Satellite laptop. CPU usage is usually below 30% often down to 10%. By the way I used to use ManyCAM and U-Stream but didn't get good results. All the best. Malachi.

Part 2: Different ways to play videos on Xbox 360

codecs100401.jpg

With regard to playback videos from a USB storage device, please note that the Xbox 360 will support as big of a storage device as you can format using FAT32, and the maximum size of any single file on FAT32 is 4GB. Besides that, the maximum file size for an AVI, MPEG-4 Part 2, and H.264 file that can be played is 4 GB as well. To play a file greater than 4GB on Xbox 360, you can use Windows Media Player 11 and the Zune software to stream videos from your PC to Xbox 360 console, and notice that the file format must be WMV only. Why is it so special with a WMV file? That maybe WMV is a codec developed by Microsoft.

Well, that is to say, to some extent, we can consider WMV as the optimal format to play or stream to Xbox 360. When you are gonna watch a Blu-ray/DVD movie, or an MKV video, or some files else that are out of the range of Xbox 360 workable formats, what is your solution? We usually make use of Pavtube Blu-ray Video Converter Ultimate to do format conversion. Why do we choose it? Mainly because of its splendid output quality and its feature of an all-in-one application: a Blu-ray ripper, a DVD ripper, and a versatile video converter.

Part 3: How to convert Blu-ray/DVD and videos to WMV for play/stream on/to Xbox 360

We have mentioned in the above contents that the program we will use is Pavtube Blu-ray Video Converter Ultimate. Go to find a step-by-step instruction from the following part.

total100402.jpg

STEP 1: Load Blu-ray, DVD or other video files into this program

Click "Add Video" to import video files, and click "Load DVD" to import Blu-ray or DVD files.

STEP 2: Select subtitle and audio track

Click on the pull down menu after "Subtitle" and "Audio" respectively to select your needed subtitle and audio track as your choice. Your selection can be reviewed in the preview window to the right hand of the main interface.

STEP 3: Select WMV as output format for Xbox 360

Click on the drop-down list at the opposite side of "Format", and then choose "WMV3 (WMV9) (*.wmv)" as output format.

wmv100402.jpg

STEP 4: Do optimal settings for the output WMV files

Click on "Settings" button, and afterwards you can adjust audio and video parameters including video/audio codec, resolution, video/audio bit rate, frame rate, sample rate and audio channel on the popup window. To make it excellent for playback on Xbox 360, you can follow the optimal settings as below:

Video codec: wmv3 (the default one)
Resolution: 1920*1080
Bitrate: 150 kbps
Frame rate: 30 fps

Audio codec: wmav3 (the default one)
Sample rate: 48 khz
Bitrate: 320 kbps
Channels: 5.1 Channels

settings100402.jpg

Do remember clicking "OK" button to confirm your settings.

STEP 5: Click "Convert" button to start BD/DVD ripping or video conversion

Once finished, click "Open" button at the bottom to get the output WMV files for Xbox 360, which now is prepared for playback or streaming.

Part 4: How to stream videos to Xbox 360

Well, as we have mentioned in Part 2, there are at least four ways to stream videos to Xbox 360, from Windows Media Center, Windows Home Server, Windows Media Player 11, and Zune Software. Actually, lots of online articles have detailed the setups and operating steps, just check the following links to find the one which is most suitable for you:

How to convert MPG to FLV/SWF? What is MPG? Short for M oving P icture E xperts...

How to convert MPG to FLV/SWF?
What is MPG?
Short for M oving P icture E xperts G roup, and pronounced m-peg, a working group of ISO. The term also refers to the family of digital video compression standards and file formats developed by the group. MPEG generally produces better-quality video than competing formats, such as Video for Windows , Indeo and QuickTime . MPEG files can be decoded by special hardware or by software. MPEG achieves high compression rate by storing only the changes from one frame to another, instead of each entire frame. The video information is then encoded using a technique called DCT. MPEG uses a type of lossy compression, since some data is removed. But the diminishment of data is generally imperceptible to the human eye.
There are three major MPEG standards: MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4.
1.The most common implementations of the MPEG-1 standard provide a video resolution of 352-by-240 at 30 frames per second (fps). This produces video quality slightly below the quality of conventional VCR videos.
2.MPEG-2 offers resolutions of 720x480 and 1280x720 at 60 fps, with full CD-quality audio. This is sufficient for all the major TV standards, including NTSC , and even HDTV . MPEG-2 is used by DVD-ROMs . MPEG-2 can compress a 2 hour video into a few gigabytes. While decompressing an MPEG-2 data stream requires only modest computing power, encoding video in MPEG-2 format requires significantly more processing power.
3.MPEG-4 is a graphics and video compression algorithm standard that is based on MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 and Apple QuickTime technology. Wavelet -based MPEG-4 files are smaller than JPEG or QuickTime files, so they are designed to transmit video and images over a narrower bandwidth and can mix video with text, graphics and 2-D and 3-D animation layers. MPEG-4 was standardized in October 1998 in the ISO /IEC document 14496.
What is flv or swf?
FLV is Flash video files, and is basically a stream of images and sound. This means you can stream these from a stream server, and get benefits like the ability to start streaming from anywhere in the file and such processing.SWF files are not streaming media, but complete files with scripts and more. This means they will transfer over the http protocol from the first byte and if you need something in the last end of the file you will have to wait for the whole file to transfer. If you however transfer the FLV file over HTTP the same applies also there. But FLV files can with macromedia media playback be transferred over the streaming protocol in a different fashion. That was a short summary for how you can use the two files differently.FLV can also be used as video inside your animation as any other video. And it offers possibility of masking and so on, which swf have more limits with.
if u wanna add ur videos to website? .flv files are the preferred choice !just cause it will takes smaller size, transmits fast ....flv has been the main video format applied on the website ! so the demand to convert mpeg to flv becomes more and more,Today i'll take video to flash encoder as an exmple to introduce how to convert mpeg to flv or swf...

Step1 Add source file(.mpeg)

Step 2. Select source file (.mpeg)

Step3. Convert mpeg to flv

I am a mac user how cam i get the panasonic VideoCam suite 1.0

You can't use their software on a Mac. Too bad, but alas.
I borrowed a Panasonic SDR-H40 to make a video reportage about my best friend's wedding, so I really had to find a way to make it work.
This is what I did to work around it. There is actually a topic about this problem in the apple support site here - the solution they offer comes down to:
You will need to convert that format into a DV format that imovie can use.

MPEG Streamclip (
http://www.alfanet.it/squared5/mpegstreamclip.html) is free and Apple's QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component http://www.apple.com/quicktime/mpeg2/
is about $20.00. They are the tools that you need to download to convert these files.
Once you have done that, export to DV Stream (.dv) and import it into iMovie.

I think that, if you look a bit further, there will surely be free alternatives; for instance, you could give 'ffmpeg' a try. I have never been very lucky with that tool. This MPEG Streamclip, however, works very well.
A hint: I noticed that the video that I import from the camera looks jagged around the edges, especially when the image is moving fast. You can eliminate this by checking the "Deinterlace Video" option in the DV export dialogue. I also checked the "Split DV stream in segments", because I will be using it with iMovieHD v.6
