925 is not a model number. It is an intel socket number. Try this; Type into Google "Socket 925". You will get at least 10 pages of hits because a whole lot of comapnies made boards that had the the 915 Pentium D socket for that intell processor to fit into.

N1996 driver download

Hello try this homepage:

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/G31TM-P21.html#/?div=Driver&os=All

Or visit the manufactures site of the pc (not the mainboard)
Try to search by entering the pcs model number or google the model number.
I know HP has used this mainboard in some of the models:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodTypeId=0&prodSeriesId=71006

You have to choose what model it is to optain the right drivers.
The tag number is located at the back of the pc.
Try also here:

Frx780m front panel connectors

Hello it would be nice to know what, brand the mainboard is.
But i think acer uses intel mainboard now.

The front panel connections probably look like this:

2_4_2013_12_06_56_am.jpg
It should be named "JFP1" on the mainboard.

The acer support site can be found here:

http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

By selecting desktop, model number, and windows system.

But the manual does not have detailed pictures or info, of the mainboard.

Hope this will help you

What ram does it take

Difficult to say because i don`t know the mainboard number.

Visit your mainboards homepage for more info.

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/

And enter the mainboard number.

Find the mainboard info by installing this program

http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

Install the english version.

If the mainboard is more than 5 years old, it haves DDR ram.

The mainboard will support from 2 to 8 gb of ram.

Ram is available in: SDRAM, DDR, DDR2, DDR3 and RDRAM.

Good luck

THIS MAINBOARD SUPPORT THIS PROSESSOR Phenom II X4 920 (2.8GHz, 125W, 2MB total dedicated L2 cache, 6MB L3

Motherboard,

Processor Support (CPU Support),

http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?CategoryID=1&DetailID=943&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=1&LanID=0

AMD Phenom II X4 model 920, uses .0875 to 1.425 Volts, (DC),

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_Phenom_microprocessors#.22Deneb.22_.28C2.2FC3.2C_45_nm.2C_Quad-core.29

That is the average voltage range for the AMD Phenom II X 4 processor.

Look back at the AMD Phenom chart again on Wikipedia, and look especially at the voltage range for the 900e to the 945.
Now look at the ECS CPU Support page again, and you'll see your motherboard supports Phenom II X4 processors from 900e to 945.

Since the 910e and the 925 are supported, I know the technology of the 920 is supported.
The Core architecture and nanometer technology it is based on, is supported.
No BIOS update may be needed.

Yes is the answer.

For additional questions please post in a Comment.

[NOTE*
That processor can use up to 125 watts of power. You need a decent Power Supply.
That processor also gets H-O-T!
Make sure it has a GOOD cooling system, and the computer case inside, and the Power Supply, inside, are kept clean ]
