Deleting unreadable email

My IP is AOL and I get unreadable emails on my phone but I do not see them when using my PC to open my email. They are accumulating and I cannot delete them. Can any one suggest how to delete these?

Message counter problem

There are a few things that could cause this.
One, you might have a lot of old unread emails in your account that you have never opened or deleted.
If that's not the case, I would recommend deleting your email account of your phone and re-adding it.

I can't get my aol email in my iPhone I have tried

*Important* Before attempting any of the below steps, please make sure your device has been properly backed up either to your computer or iCloud.
1. Confirm that you are able to sign in with the same user information on AOL's website. If you are unable to, the fix may be as simple as resetting your email password through AOL. (This step should be completed online, not on your iPhone.
2. Are you running the latest iOS? (If unsure, tap "settings" on the iPhone, then "General", and the 2nd tab within General should read "Software Update".) This tab will let you know whether or not your iPhone is completely up to date. If it is proceed to Step 3. If not, simply tap the Update tab and see if it fixes the issue. The majority of iPhone problems can be fixed with a simple software update.
3. Remove all email from the phone under the "mail, contacts, and calendars" in the "Settings" app. Once all email accounts have been deleted from the phone, restart the device and input the email information again only this time choose "Microsoft Exchange" as the account type. If you are unfamiliar with setting up an Exchange account read below -- Email: your AOL email address spelled correctly -- Domain: -- Username: AOL username (usually your email address) -- Password: your AOL sign in/email passwordOnce the information is entered correctly, hit the "Next" button in the top right hand corner. Upon verification you will be prompted for the "Server" underneath the "Email" tab. -- Server: none of the above fixes this issue, I would recommend visiting the nearest Apple store as they will either DFU the phone (replace the firmware) or give you a brand new phone. Hope this helps,

Master reset code

  • Remove any memory cards that are in the phone (MicroSD, SD or MiniSD), and remove the SIM card, if your phone uses one. Make sure the phone is turned on before continuing (if you had to remove the battery to remove the memory card or SIM, turn the phone on).

  • Select "Contacts" from the main screen of your cell phone to access your contacts list. Go through the entire list, selecting each name and deleting the entry. Consult your cell phone manual to find out where the "Delete Entry" option is located in your Contacts menu (if you do not have a manual use the link in "Resources" to download a copy of one for your phone). Typically, when you choose an entry, the option to "Edit" will appear on the screen. Select that and one of the sub-options will be "Delete Entry." Do this for all of the entries in your Contact list.

  • Open your text messaging (SMS) application on your phone. Most phones have an icon you can choose from the main screen to go to the application (where you can compose, send, or read SMS messages). Press your "Menu" key again (or the key under the "Options" choice on the screen), and select "Delete All." Click on the choice to delete both read and unread messages. When you are done, return to the main menu.

  • Delete all of your media files. Go to your music, video, photo and MMS directories, and either use a "Delete All" option from the menu, or individually highlight each file name, select "Edit" and then "Delete" and remove each one.

  • Open your calendar and clear all of the entries. Make, sure when you choose this option from the calendar edit menu, that you check off the option to remove the calendar history as well, so past events are erased.

  • Open your email settings (where you entered your email address originally to receive notifications on your phone of new emails), and delete the email address you registered.

  • Open your notepad program and delete any notes you may have stored in the memory. Do this for any Voice Notes, if your phone offered this function as well.

Can I send an email to my daughters orange phone from my PC and would I use her hotmail address or can I use her mobile number with say

If your daughter has a wap or Internet-enabled phone, using Orange World is one of the easiest ways for her to access her webmail.

There’s nothing she needs to set up. She'll simply open Orange World on her Orange phone, go to “Tools”, then “Read your email” and finally select her email provider.

She'll then be taken to her email provider’s wap site. From there it’s just like logging on to your email with a web browser.

    What does she need?
    • A wap or Internet-enabled Orange phone
    • A compatible email address (see list of providers)
    • To use this service you’ll need an email provider who has a wap site. Currently you can use this service with the following email providers:
*Currently, Hotmail only works with a limited number of handsets.
    Set up
Easy. Open up Orange World on her phone, go to “Tools”, then “Read your email” then select your email provider.

You'll send an email from your computer to her email account. She can then read it on her phone.

My black berry 8520 says i have an unread message but i deleted all of my messages and its still showing i have an unread message what should i do?

In my case I discovered that it was caused by my personal email. We use Exchange and I was synchronized with the Exchange/BBES server. I had added my Hotmail account, but I didn't like the fact that my Exchange email and personal email show up in "Messages". So I deleted my Hotmail account. Apparently the phone "remembered" how may new emails I had and would add that number to the number of Exchange emails I had. The solution that worked for me was to pull the battery.

Blackberry curve says I have one unread email, but there are NONE

You may have an unread message in one of the other folders, such as drafts.
Press the menu key and select folders and see if there are any unreads there.
