Hello I have an Akai 32" Wide screen LCD TV model LCT3285TA the volume is stuck I think on 0. I cannot get it to move off zero. I changed the battery in the remote control. I have unplugged TV. The buttons on the side of the TV will not move the volume.
Akai TV's are knwon for various issues, this is one of the ones i have had to deal with repairs for many times now, first jsut pwoer reset it, unplug it for 3-5 minutes and try another outlet, try a dvd player as well jsut o insure there is no sound, akai has no tech support as they ahve gone out of bussiness, i suggest calling the local television repair center or returning it

You could be right it sound like the power suply, has it got a AC adaptor power suply,bit like a laptop charger? goes from mains to a black box then from box to the TV? does it stay on at all?

Target sells a GE Universal Remote Control, 5 Device with learning feature. I can't say if it works with your Verizon DVR, but its code for the Akai LCT3285TA is 1139. If you have the Verizon's remote, you should be able to use the learning function to make the GE control it - that's if the GE doesn't have a built in code that will work for this DVR.
Hi, was there a resolution to this? I am experiencing the same problem with LCT3285TA purchased at Radio Shack in Media, PA. Radio Shack has refused to service the unit and has put me over to Akai for the manufacturer's warranty. I'd like to know what to expect and if this problem with the Logo coming up and the unit shutting off/restarting can be easily fixed, thanks.
