After you format your PC the OS does not seem to load fully ... is that your problem... In that case one of the two problems are there. Either your drive is not reading the cd well or the cd is dirty ,,, or the RAM chip is faulty on your machine which does not pass the install files cleanly.

Changed hard drive no video now. help!!!

Well probably it looks like either the windows did not load well or maybe check the cable connnection in your hard disk. Either way try to disable your graphic card and run your OS.

Screen flickering on windows 7 boot

This is more than likely an issue with the monitors themselves. Does this happen on the main monitor is you move the secondary cable over to it? What kind of monitors are you using, how old are they, and do you know the refresh rates on them?

Computer shut down

I would start with a RAM check and hard drive test before I did much else. Errors while installing windows would seem to indicate a hardware problem of some kind.

MSI FX5200-T128 :: Hard-Freeze

You could try using the driver for the FX5200 directly from Nvidia. Maybe the MSI drivers are causing the issue. If not try using the video card in another computer and see if it works. Without testing the card or the board it is hard to say. Sometimes a weak powersupply can cause problems like this. Also make sure if there is a power connection to the video card that it is hooked up. Some video cards need additional power plug hooked up.

When your computer loads, after you power it on, it gives you an option to go into the CMOS. You can disable integrated periferals there. If you don't know how, check your system documentation

No display on my monitor only after first boot

This is a problem with the handshake of the two hardwares so first of all update your bios from your manufacturer's website and then update your graphics card drivers

System failure

possible causes and things to check

  1. check that your RAM is installed correctly - remove and install again ensuring power is disconnected first
  2. check that CPU fan and video card fan both work OK and clear dust from the heat sinks
  3. bad video driver - load new driver for your card from HERE - select your OS, then Radeon, then 9250 and press GO.

Computer and video card memory/ram

Hello there.

Answers to questions are reported on the website.
Graphics card memory is independent of main system memory. Your graphics card has 256MB of memory dedicated to graphical tasks, such as playing videos, games and animations. Main system memory is seperate and is used for loading programs and applications.

New graphics cards will have even more memory, so to answer your question: no video memory on the graphics card does not have to match main system memory in the computer.

Possible times when main system ram is used by the graphics card is when the graphics hardware is integrated into the motherboard. Please click here to find out more about graphics video memory.

Hope this helps.

WUPS.DLL issue after fdisk and reloading XP Home

when you finished the installation you must of ticked the part where it says 'do you want windows to check for updates now', as the wups.dll is the file that checks the internet for windows updates. If you cannot get windows to startup correctly, then i would start your system up again with the disc in and either choose repair or reinstall and dont let it check for updates this time as you won't be connected to the net.
