I'm assuming you are refferring to the condition where when you turn on the set it comes up.. says digital television then shuts back down? Probably has a bad invertor transformer on the invertor board. Easy way to check.. remove all the plugs on the left side, should be 6 with pink and white wires. If you have an ohm meter.. you should read approx 3.9-5.0 megaohms on each of the SOCKETS, not the plugs. If you read infinite on one.. that transformer is bad. If you do not have a meter, remove the plugs, plug them back in one at a time and try turning the set on. You should see the corresponding set of lamps behind the display light momentarily. The defective transformer will not have any light at all when it is connected.

Any number of things could be wrong, some of them might be simple some are not so simple. power reset the unit by unplugging it for 5 minutes and plugging it back in. try without a power strip in another outlet, if that doesnt work call the manufacturer or return it to the store (if you still have a return policy)
