The tom tom mounting for the windscreen keeps fallng off
When I stick the tom tom mounting on the windscreen (the only place you can put it), during the trip is falls off. I believe it is stuck very firmly to the windscreen. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what did they do to solve the problem, or did I just get a faulty one?
Re: The tom tom mounting for the windscreen keeps fallng...
I have had the same problem a few times. The only thing that seems to help me is to put the mount on the windshield first, ensuring that I push it firmly into place, and then slide the gps unit into it.

The mounting bracket is meant for mounting on the windscreen. It won't stick to the pebbled vinyl surface of the dashboard as the surface allows air in. You take off the thin clear plastic cover. The black disk that came with the satnav can be stuck to your dashboard if you want to mount the satnav there. Clean the dashboard and peel off the plastic cover off the disk to stick it to the dashboard. Be sure not to put it where there's an airbag. You can then attach the satnav to the other side of the disk the same as to the windscreen.
To attach the satnav to the windscreen press the suction mount against the screen and press the lever towards the screen. To remove it pull back the lever and lift the tab on the suction pad.
If it's any consolation it is a unit problem. I have the volume on my phone and on the Tom Tom at full and it still is quiet. I can only hear people if I place the unit at the top right of the windscreen.
First of all, Happy new year to you, If you got a suction holder with your device, lick it and stick it to the windscreen somewhere in the lower part of the screen, attach the car charger to it and you should be ready to go, As for the home charger, it should have been supplied in the box, so if it is still new and under warranty go back to the place it was purchased from and request one, hope this helps.
i am presuming you dampened the surface of the windscreen to help it adhere? Other than that...and as its new its under warranty and should be replaced IF it is faulty return the faulty unit to your seller but make sure you have proof of purchase
In the box you have a 'desktop' mount. Looks like the windscreen mount without the ******. Also you will have got a mains power lead. Plug the lead into the 'desktop mount' (Left hand side) of the stick up bit. Plug in and put your 910 onto the mount. It will 'Click' into place The green light will shine to show it's charging.
To release the unit from the mount PRESS in the button in the middle of the screen top rim and lift off.
Remember to turn of the power at the socket to stop wasting electricity
The usb part of the desktop mount goes into your pc so you can connect to TomTom home or just plain old 'back it up' It is ok to have power switched on or off when connect to the pc, there is no need to unplug the jackplug.
Is the unit connect to a power cable while you're using it? Sounds like the battery just runs down. Check your power cable, is it properly connected to the cigarette lighter adapter? Maybe your cigarette lighter is defective and the unit is not gettting power, therfore running on battery all the time
