Question about Printers & Copiers
Ok - I just got a lexmark all in one printer/scanner/copy/fax wireless. I am not using the wireless I am using USB connection. Printer works fine, fax works fine BUT the scanner won't work. I have a Dell desktop Inspiron. I worked with a great tech from Lexmark for 2 hours today and he said it seems that this is a dell problem (and I actually believe the poor guy he did EVERYTHING possible from what I can tell) I mean - he spent 2 hours...anyway - anyone know what to do here? When I called Dell those nice guys (Gags and pukes) said they sure could help me ... to the tune of $70! or for free (my warranty) they could do a system restore (which my kid could do) Help! I love the printer and just can't afford anything else now (and of course my return time is over)
Tips for a great answer:
A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by
resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer
from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and
re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns
on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again
once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on
the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).
