SOURCE: dimplex epx1000 switches off after approxomately

This looks to be a nice quiet unit! a thermal overload is likely the culprit,
amp draw may be too high, take amp draw to see. stat can be also bad.

SOURCE: Dimplex Convector Heater EPX1000 turns off by itself

I have the same problem with 3 of the 5 EPX1000s I have fitted in my flat, although mine don't even warm up. They just immediately turn themselves off. My only conclusion is that they are rubbish. Specifically, the so-called overheat protection doesn't work. Avoid.

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio dryer, model WED6400SW, that displays an F23 code. What type of problem does the F23 code signify?

Your heating circuit is out of range. Most of the time, it's the thermistor that has gone bad.

Sears has the replacement:

Thermistor 8577274

If that doesn't do it, then the next most common culprit is the main PCB board.

How do you change the light bulb in a dimplex gem 20 heater?

Hi, First ALWAYS disconnet from the mains!
To change the bulb on your Dimplex you'll firstly need to remove the log effect, there are 2 small black head pozi type screws hidden at the front one on the left and one on right which your bulbs are under situated in their holders (as there are 2 of them) they are mini screw types as opposed to the standard baynot type replace the defective bulbs with like for like once fitted reconnect the mains and try if working, JOB DONE! Page 14 on the link shows exactly how to do it Regards Steve.

Dimplex club heater flicks on/off either on manual or using remote

It sounds like a dodgy thermostat or thermistor to me. When a thermistor goes wrong it can cause what is known as rapid-cycling in a heater, where the unit will keep switching on and off, on and off repeatedly.

Bulb replacement

Dimplex uses common bulb types. Either incandescent or halogen. Consult your owner's manual for bulb type and wattage, then visit your local hardware or convenience store. It should be easy to find. If you lost your manual, simply remove the old bulb and bring with you to the store.

How do I replace the light bulb in a Dimplex Springborne electric stove?

You can access the bulbs by removing the rectangular access panel on the back of the stove, just above the bottom edge of the stove. Be sure to turn the unit OFF and unplug it before attempting the bulb replacement. The bulb type is 60 watt, small base, clear chandelier bulb.

I hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

My Dimplex model #6901470100 (purchased new in 2007) just stopped working. It was on then just turned off by itself. Both lightbulbs are OK. What would cause this?

It probably overheated and the overheat module shut the heater down. It may reset itself once it cools down. Or the heating element has burned out. There are a host of issues with these electric fireplaces (not just Dimplex). They are sold as a decorative, supplemental heat source, but in fact, if you get more than a years use out of it without a problem, you're probably the exception. The heaters just aren't meant to run for a long period of time. It's like turning on a blow drier and letting it run for an hour. Nine times out of ten the blower driver will overheat and burn out.

I really wish I had better news for you (I answer this type of question at least 5 to 6 times a week), but I don't.

The only good news would be, if it's still under warranty (one year), have your Proof of Purchase and contact Dimplex USA. Technical Service: 1- 888-346-7539. Customer Service: 800-668-6663
