Question about Audiovox SIR-PNP3 SIRIUS Radio Receiver
What you need to look for is the ribbon cable Duncan mentioned. It should be the only cable that goes from the screen to the main board (the largest electronics board). That cable should be fairly easy to spot once you have the case open. If that cable is disconnected or torn at all, that's your problem. You said it's completely dead, which means it's not a bulb or the lamp (which is too bad, because those are easier to replace). Unless that ribbon cable is loose or damaged, this will not be cost effective or at all easy to repair. In that case, it will be cheaper to replace.

On your car, see if you can see even a very very faint display if you view it at just the right angle. If so, you have a display backlight that has failed or burned out (if it uses lamps). Replace the lamps and you are good to go. If your unit in your car is a flip face then you may have a bad wire in the ribbon cable that connects the face to the mother board. This can be replaced fairly cheaply. Good luck with your unit.
