SOURCE: Simpson Sirocco 350 Dryer not heating

there is an oval cover on the back of the dryer. Remove this cover and you will probably find a broken fan belt. A replacement costs about $20 Aus.

NOTE: If you have been using the dryer for a while in this condition there will certainly be moisture inside the dryer. Replace the belt and leave the dryer for a few days to dry itself out (motor and electricals) before firing it up.

SOURCE: when the dryer is on high or medium heat, it trips the power breaker of the house. it does not do this on air only/no heat", which makes me think of a short in heating unit.

the dryer is run by a universal motor, and these motors (while being very robust) can draw more current if the torque put on the drive train is overloaded. try running dryer with less clothes.

SOURCE: Simpson Sirocco 350 Dryer not heating

I repaired my broken fan belt with a drop of super glue - there is virtually no load on the belt and it now works perfectly again. A 30 sec quick fix.

SOURCE: Where does the spring clip

Hi, I too have one of these dryers & have also found a spring, along with alot of fluff, some staples, & remains of the rear seal inside the dryer. must be a manufacturing fault by the looks of things, the spring was bent & twisted & must hold the seal in place. I would say it will need to go to the repair people for replacement. also note the fluff (remains of the seal) had an area where it had burnt from the heating element & could cause a fire.

My Simpson ezi sett 7.5 always fills to full even when set to low. i have replaced the pressure switch and still fills to full.

Check the rubber hose from the pressure switch down to the bowl for any holes or splits allowing the air pressure to escape. Also check that water valve is stopping the flow. Start to fill then press pause. Water flow should stop immediately. If it keeps flowing or is slow to stop then replace the inlet valve. Try it several times to be sure.

Simpson ezi 950 9.5 will not empty, rinse, spin dry.

That sounds like the pump is jammed. Have you checked for hair slides or similar? Once the pump is free to operate, your Simpson should resume normal service.

Where do I locate the filter on clothes dryer - simpson ezi set 350

The filter is located inside the dryer at the back of the drum. There are two holes that you can pull on to release the filter.

Here is a YouTube video that shows where the filter is located.

Electrolux/Simpson EZI sensor 5.5 kg machine cycles.

Well I'm an idiot. They did say there was a fast wash, but it specified that it was for extra rinses to help people with detergent allergy etc., but did not give a time for the cycle. They should have said it was the short wash for everyone. I tried it, and it was fine. Thanks anyway. If I ever have a real problem, I'll be back.
