I'm trying to download the start up cd to my child's didj. The file is in my downloads but I can extract it because it says I need to buy winrar. Is there another program that will extract the zip files without purchasing winrar or do I need to purchase it? I'm running with VistaStill need a solution for this problem? The WinRAR application will compress the files and save in the same folder or location as the original files. The WinRAR program can also extract compressed files with a RAR or ZIP format. Select the files that require extraction using the pointer. Right click on the selected file to display a drop down menu. Materials Needed:- PC

Ensure that the computer you are going to use for compressing files has WinRAR program installed before proceeding with the compression of file.
Select all the files to you want to compress by using the mouse and the CTRL button or the SHIFT button. The CTRL button is for selecting several files in the same folder or location. The SHIFT button is for selecting blocks of files.
Right click on the selected files to display a drop down menu. Select the 'Add to Archive' option from the drop down list. This will display a WinRAR window menu.
Input a name for the compressed files in the Archive name section in the General tab. Ensure that the name is not similar to any other compressed files in the save location.
Select the file format of the compressed file after the deciding on the name. File formats can either be RAR or ZIP. There are also other options such as deleting of the original file after the compression, putting authenticity verifications, and putting a recovery record.
Click the 'OK' button after completing all the required fields in the menu. The WinRAR application will compress the files and save in the same folder or location as the original files.

1.) Download the "system.zip" file and unzip (using a program such as WinZip, 7-Zip, WinRAR, etc.) the file. 2.) You will then need to connect the Tabeo tablet to your PC and then select the "Turn on USB storage" option on the screen once it comes up. 3.) After the file has been unzipped it will need to be transferred to the main folder, or "root directory" of the Tabeo tablet. Please ensure that you do not place the "system" folder in any of the folders already in the "root directory". 4.) You will now need to have to go into Settings application (located under the apps list from the top right corner) and go down to "About tablet" and select Start Wizard. Then turn the unit off and on again.
If it is a bunch of winrars use 7-zip, free opensource software thats very powerful, to try to compile the winrar files. just open it up and try to extract the first one and it should extract the split/compressed file to one file. from there if it is a dvd "file" or "iso"/image file you can mount it onto a fake/virtual cd drive using a tool called daemon tools, from there you can see the dvd file without burning it to a disc.
