Mic for guitar hero world tour on xbox 360 stopped working

The microphone was working perfectly fine for about a month, and then all of a sudden, one song it worked fine, and the next song it did not work...at all. Please help or give me some things or ideas on what to do to fix this problem. We have tried every USB port and nothing happens still, and we cannot find anything visually wrong with it.

I had this problem as well but it wouldn't work at all when i got it however i discovered you have to use the regular controller with the mic. just plug in the mic and turn on the reg controller and whaa laa it works. i was on my way to the store to return it and stumbled accross this accidentally but it works i didn't have to return it at all hope that helps. as for the quiting all at once when it was working i have no idea how to fix that

You can test the microphone on your Windows PC by connecting it to USB and you can use it for any purpose. Run under All Programs Entertainment, sound recorder, or just open up the Mixer and under properties, recording select microphone, you can unmute it on the regular mixer. May get a howl or swuael if your volume too high. (Feedback)... If it will record sound on the PC using sound recorder, then the problem is with the console not recognizing it. This may vary for windows Vista, or Windows 7. I use XP. It sees it as a Logitech USB Microphone. I have a defective one. I think the mic element is blown, I am going to try to solder in one from another microphone to see. Costs $20.00 plus shipping for a new one. Maybe you can take it back to Walmart and get them to exchange it. Good luck with that....

All you need is Wii Speak, no special microphones, to to fix your problem. You can get a good cheap Wii Speak at Wal-Mart.

Used wireless guitar for Guitar Hero: World Tour and I can't get it to work.

try to make sure that the controller has been synced to your system and that it is for the correct system, if both are true and still no success, i would advise that you try to return the unit. sorry.

On Guitar Hero: World Tour you can play using the microphone and guitar by selecting two profiles and choose the band option in either career mode, quickplay or online. A single profile cannot be used for both microphone and guitar at the same time.

Microphone for guitar hero world tour

just asked this same question.
discovered that by removing one of our wii controllers from the drum set that we could use the microphone and the guitar. Guessing that having a 3rd controller would allow for the full band to play together (guitar, drum, and vocals). Thinking that by having 4th controller, we could hook up our other microphone or another guitar.
