SOURCE: Leaking from the front ?

Hello Kathy J...

It sounds as if you want reassurance that you should replace your dishwasher.. The costs associated with replacing the racks themselves and the gasket on the door ( depending on who does it) might justify the purchase of a replacement model.. Plus newer models are more energy efficient that the older ones.. 7 years of use is a fairly long time so you've gotten your money out of it... I always use this litmus test to validate the purchase.. if the cost to repair is close to or exceeds the cost to replace, then replacement makes sense.. Very subjective indeed.. hope you make the right choice.. :-)

SOURCE: Leak from dishwasher

I currently had the same problem with mine and the culprit was the boot that screws on to the spray arm which serves as the seal from the spray arm to the motor. To find out spin the base of the spray arm loose and take off the screw tightened clamp that holds the boot to the motor. Mine had dry rotted and leaked very badly. The part as only about $10. Hope this helps

SOURCE: GE 24in GSD980X Dishwasher water leak in pump &motor area

I had the same problem. There is no way of replacing seal/joint between pump and motor. It can't be taken apart w/o destroying parts, it only comes as an assembly. Costs around 130$ for pump/motor assy, so it might not be worth it.

There are many places for the water to leak out the bottom on those. You are going to need to remove the covers and have a look. Is the water clean or is it part of your brew? In order of most likely to least likely
1) Barista seal at bottom of brew chamber
2) Distributor
3) Tank seal
4) Tamping piston seals
5) Flexible hose or connection
6) Hydraulic Ram
7) Relief valve on end of pump
You are not going to figure it out with the covers on and you will have great difficulty running it with covers off to be certain where it is coming from but that is what most of those issues is going to require.

I see oil leaking from the bottom of my 2001 sabura forester how can i tell whats wrong

Wipe it down clean and watch for the origin of the leak. May need to drive it awhile. Not that many places for oil to leak...valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, oil filter gasket, drain plug, front and rear crankshaft main seals (but these would be from center of engine), timing cover gasket seal...Look carefully, and you'll probably spot it. Good luck.

Have oil leak not heavy, but it leaks any answer were it could be coming from..

Valve Covers, Head Gaskets, Oil Pan Seal and a number of other spots. You'll need to clean the motor with Gunk Engine cleaner and then look for the largest build ups of oil and crud to get a better idea where it is.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. It is either leaking from drain pump joint or the drain pump has developed a crack. You'll need to remove the drain pump for any cracks or loose connections. Please see the steps to remove the drain pump---
Use a shop vacuum to **** all the water through the drainhose. Remove the bottom front panel held by two screws on bottom and twoplastic pins at the top. Locate drain pump in front right. Removedelectric connector on front of pump. Remove two screws holding pump down. Usedpliers to move spring clips back so hoses could be removed. Put hoses on newpump and squeeze the clamps with pliers to pull them back over the hoseconnection. The connection on the left will cause a little pain due to spacelimitations. Now put the screws back on the pump after checking and reconnectthe electric plug. Put the bottom cover back on and screw it into place.

This schematic will help you--

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

My machine is leaking from the bottom of the machine. Hoses in the back are ok. but i'm afraid to run it

you will have to open the top of the washer.

take a flat head screwdriver and place it at the seam area around the washing machines rim, the front should lift up from some clips that hold it down, look down inside for any corroded hoses or signs of water leaking from pressed hose fittings.

if there is no leak signs at top of washer then you may have to take the back cover off and look at the bottom for signs of water stains or corrosion.

replace hose if tightning it doesn't work. run the washer with panel off so you can spot leaks.

Bosch washing machine leaks at right bottom

The part that you removed, was the pump filter, the pump is located behind the filter, possibly, the pump itself is leaking, or the filter cover is not fastened in tight enough, pr the filter seal is defective, if after tightening, it still leaks, suggest you replace the pump.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.
