Hi. I was trying to boot from a cd but my keyboard didn't give me the chance to click any key when the message "press any key to boot from cd..." comes to my screen. The key board only works when i become inside the window. So I tried to reset the BIOS by taking off the battery and the jumper PSWRD for some time. Now I can't log to windows anymore. Everytime the computer starts it gives me an error message with the number 162 or 163 that says system time error. Please i need your help as soon as possible. Thank you.

Well, your first mistake was installing Windows 10.
Does it reach POST (Power On Self Test)? If not, some of your PC parts are probably not connected properly. If it does, try and manually reset the BIOS on your motherboard. This could be just flipping a switch, or might require to physically replace the BIOS chip. That should allow you to get into the BIOS and set all parameters.

If you want to boot your computer with disk you need to set first boot device as your cd or dvd rom. For that when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 or "del" then you can enter in bios. Then go to boot option then set first boot device as your cd ro dvd rom .then save settings and exit. Then put disk in rom then it boot with that disk. Let me know if you need more assistanse. Thanks.
Most likely, your hard drive died. Enter the system BIOS to see what it is detecting (or not) for your hard drive(s). If the hard drive is not being detected as I suspect, you could just replace it and reinstall all of your software.
All you can do is Reinstall windows. You should get the Windows Vista Installation CD with your laptop and all you have to do is put it in and restart your computer and when the message that says "Press any key to boot from CD" press a key.
If it doesn't show up, you may have to press a key like DEL or F12 to get the boot sequencer. When you first turn on the computer you should see the Compaq logo. At the bottom of the screen you should see some buttons to press to do things like BIOS and Boot Sequence. You want Boot Sequence. Once in boot sequence, select the CD-DVD and press any key when it says to.
Once in follow instructions or oyu can reply and i will tell you how to install.
Force your computer to start in Safe Mode. To do that, hold down the F5 key when you start up and keep holding it until you see that your PC has booted to Safe Mode. (Another way to do this is to hold down the F8 key during boot time until you’re presented with the Windows Startup Menu and then choose Safe Mode from the list of options presented there.
When you’re in Safe Mode Windows skips the Config.sys and Autoexec.bat files and loads a minimal set of drivers that lets your PC function at a basic level. Then do a systme restore while on safe mode......
