Hard time starting my husqvarna chainsaw when hot. chainsaw has choke but no primer

Poor hot starting on small two stroke engines can very often attributed to poor fuel quaility in your area, other things to check are that the air grills in the starter cover are clear, all the cooling air for the cylinder is taken through her, if there are any winter flaps in the partion wall of the top cover make sure these are closed, have the machine tuned by a compitent saw person, over speeding will increase the cylinder temperature and cause bad re starting, try not to let the machine actually run out of fuel, re fill before it does.

The saw stalls when it gets hot and won't restart till it cools down

This is possibly an ignition coil breaking down when hot, the only answer is to replace it, before you do that just try slackening the fuel filler cap when it starts to die, if it picks up again there is a problem with the fuel tank breather.

Homelite 10540 chainsaw 35CC chainsaw won't start when hot

Go to: http://www.drystacked com for a 12 page article on Walbro carburetor theory and troubleshooting. Check particularly, the position of the gasket in the lower chamber. Check the spark plug for blue, snappy spark when the engine is hot. If ok, place a small amount of fuel mix in the cylinder and try for start. If it pops several times, look to the fuel system. Check the fuel filter, air filter, and muffler for plugging. Does the primer bulb fill with fuel after several pumps? Check the fuel lines for decay or other damage. When the engine is hot, try not using the choke, but set the fast idle. Hope some of this helps!

Eager ****** McCulloch Chainsaw; Won't start when hot...

Loosen the fuel cap just before you shut it down. Close it just prior to restart. If that corrects it, there is a fuel vent problem. HTH

Chainsaw starts off running strong gets hot and quits after 10

Remove the muffler and inspect the piston and rings. If there are any vertical lines or grooves in the piston or the rings, you must rebuild the top end of the saw. (including cylinder)
