HI,the rca system should have a sub pre out socket, plug a phono cable into this then to input on your sub and set volume to half way, also make sure the sub is set to on in the setup menu on the system.

SOURCE: RCA LCD Flat Panel HDTV and RCA Home Theater System--No sound

Video comes from external device to TV - OUT on device and IN on TV.

Sound connects by the red/white cable set (or HDMI). Place set in Audio OUT ports on TV and Audio IN ports on DVD. Then select AUX IN on DVD.

SOURCE: can't find a code to

We would be happy to help with that. Here is a list of someof the codes that we have for RCA home theater systems: 703, 852, 772, 638, 704, and 727.

Press and hold the AUX mode button until all mode buttons at the top of theremote come on, then release. Enter the number 2 then one of the codesfor your RCA home theater system provided above. Press the pound (#) button, the modelight should flash three times. Checkthat the code works by trying several different functions on the remote to makesure it will properly operate your RCA home theater system. Keep in mind that some codesmay not be compatible with your equipment. If this is the case, please try theother codes listed for that device until you find one that is compatible withyour equipment.

We hope this helps you, and thank you for being a valued DISH Network Customer!

Why do my RCA Model RT2390 gets hot and cuts off

Hmmm, lack of ventilation, shorted speakers or wire, excessive volume?

Register and download the manual for free at retrevo.com

http://www.retrevo.com/support/RCA-RT2390-Home-Theater-Systems-manual/id/402ag604/t/2/

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Check for loose speaker connections at the speaker as a root cause for intermittent shutdown.

Is there any way or solution to use RCA RT 2390 for a power supply of 220V?

No,unless you somehow modify the power supply by putting a 220vac to 115vac transformer. If you just used it without the mod, it would probably catch on fire or something like that.
