Bathtub diverter not working

After you use the diverter to get the water to the shower head, you leave it alone. When you turn the water off the diverter will automatically go back to its default position of faucet.

Shower head wont turn all the way off

the seal on the diverter may have fallen off, or bad/dirty diverter.

when the water is turned off, does the diverter return to "normally open" state? (no divert, goes directly through tub spout)

I have a asko dw20.1 dishwasher. When i turn it on the machine pump the water out, then it take new water in, and then it just stops? help..?

HI,
You either have a diverter problem or the unit can not determine how much water entered the tank on fill. Are you able to access base pan area? If so, is there water in the base pan? This is important to determine what your next move should be. If water is in the base pan, need to look at diverter under pump housing, look for water residue, this will tell you is the diverter has jammed or is leaking. I hope this helps.. Also around the door handle of the dishwasher door, you will find the model number like 3250, or something like that. With that number I can lead you in parts locating and problems related to yours model.
Looking forward to helping you..

I have a Delta Tub/Spout Pull Down Diverter that has a pretty persistent drip. The HOT and COLD handles are turned off and seem to be as tight as they can be. After doing some research online I believe...

If your Delta RP17453 Pull-Down Diverter Tub Spout stops dripping after 5 minutes, your ok. If it never stops dripping, you need to replace delta faucet cartridge(s) behind the handle(s). This is were the water turns on and off and stops the water flow to the tub spout.

Delta faucets are some of the easiest to repair, and parts are usually available at any hardware store or home center. If you have a two handle faucet, replace both delta seats and springs and stems. If you have a single handle Delta faucet, replace the entire cartridge.

What happens when you pull down the diverter on a tub only, where does the water go? and how do you fix it?

The water stops at the spout .You can replace your tub spout with one that dosnt have a diverter. It isnt neccisary though ,the one you have is fine, jest dont pull down on the diverter.

Water cannot be stopped running through shower

depending on the type of diverter you can replace or repair the divert-er valve. if it is a faucet mounted then replace the faucet. if it is an internal control valve then you can probably replace the core to fix the problem.

Water sprays out the diverter

Remove hot/cold button in handle, remove screw/pull off handle. Remove the two screws in the wall plate/remove plate. Use a wrench to remove the diverter assembly. Get new diverter assy and reinstall eveything. You don't need to turn off the water.

Vaillant boiler - heating OK, but no hot water.

Most likey problem is the diverter valve, not energising fully. This in turn will not move the little plastic lever arm that actuates the microswitch on the side, sending the signal to ignite.

You can buy a diaghram kit from most local plumb centres, you need to replace the diaghram and seals, don't forget the silicon grease to ensure the plunger doesnt stick. Kits less than a tenner.

You should have noticed before it stopped working completely the water had reduced in temperature before the weeks it failed.

To make sure it is a diverter valve fault, depress the microswitch if you can, when the hot water is flowing and hey presto the demand for hot water light should shine.
