Question about Kodak EasyShare Z700 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I bought two 4 GB PNY Optima SD HC 60 HD cards for my Canon PowerShot SD 800 IS Digital Elph for a very special event. It captured all of the photos as my other cards have, but when I went to download the cards to my computer, my computer doesn't recognize the card... at all. I've tried 2 computers with the SD slot and 2 usb card readers. Nothing. I need to work with these photos and videos asap. What do I need to do? Help please. Thanks, Kim 805.569.1261 cannot format sanDisk sdhc card

SOURCE: I bought two 4 GB

pny does not supply card readers w/memory cards-sandisk on certain cards includes reader because file format is different on sdhc cards -try downloading direct from camera w/usb or get a card reader that absolutley supports sdhc type cards-not all readers do!

Hi there! I have a Canon PowerShot SD700 is. I have bought a Sandisk 8 GB. My camera cannot read it. It says: Memory Card Error. What can I do about it? Many thanks for your help

The SD700 works with MMC and SD cards. Your 8GB card is an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use SD cards, which max out at 2GB.

I have inserted a new PNY optima SC HC memory card and window in camera says "memory card error". Does the canon not take this card?

Correct. The A510 uses SD cards, not SDHC cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work.

WHAT KIND OF MEMORY CARD DO I NEED. WE PURCHASED A PNY OPTIMA SD HC CARD AND THE CAMERA READS THAT CARD IS LOCKED THANKS JOE

Check on the side of the card. There is usually a little switch that will force lock the card to prevent writing to it (similar to the lock on 3.5" floppy disks, if you remember those).

I have a canon powershot SD400 elph. Camera menu

I'm guessing you bought a new 4GB SDHC card. Although it looks exactly the same as a standard SD card, the format the card uses is very different. Unfortunately your camera was designed before the SDHC format came out. Sorry, but a SDHC card will not work with your camera.

You'll need to use standard SD cards (usually those 2GB or less). But if you really want to use a 4GB card, do a Google search for 4GB SD "non HC", with the non HC in quotes. Believe Transcend makes one.

I'm useing the pny optima sd/hc 60 hd 4gb scan disk! it has photos on it useing the camera, nikon coolpixl20. using nikon transfer does not load pictures on computer.

I had same problem. Neither computer nor printer would recognize the SDcard. I took the card to Walgreen's and the card was read just fine. I suspect that we are running XP and do not have the right driver; but I can't seem to find the right driver. Morgen
