I have a marshall mg100dfx and the power switch fell out

The button came off and two metal clips fell out, can i fix this myself, i know how much a shop would charge and it would probably cost half as much as the amp.

A repair shop will be able to fix this for you I get my amps rewired for about $20 so a replacement switch will not be very expensive.

No Once The Switch Breaks Its Better To Just Replace It. I Swear When Mine Broke And I Didnt Replace It The Thing Would Break Every Other Time I Wanted To Play. If You Buy A New Switch Replacing It Will Take About 5 Minutes. Unplug It Then Grab Yourself A Flat Head And Pry The Little Edge Of The Switch Outward And It Will Come Out. Then Undo The Wires They Can Just Be Pulled Off And I Would Remove The Switch Before I Went And Got A New One Just To Make Sure i Got One The Same Size. Ok So Remove The 2 Or 3 Wires From The Rear Of The Switch Then Put Them In The Same Order on the New One. Then Simply Just Push The New Switch In And You'll Be Ready To Rock.

Marshall mg100dfx, internal fuse blowing every time you switch on the unit. What could be the problem

The way you troubleshoot this is to put a 150 watt lamp in series with the input power cord. The lamp acts as a resetable fuse and will limit the current while you look for the bad component. Start with the capacitors and rectifiers connected to the power transformer.

My problem is that the clean channel doesn't work. The OD1/OD2 channel works just fine but I'm not getting any sound out of the clean channel... any ideas?

Here is the schematic:http://www.ampix.org/albums/userpics/10003/MArshall_MG100DFX.pdf There are a few possibilities. The jack for the footswitch for channel changing JS1 might be faulty. Zener diodes 1 and/or 2 might be faulty. Switch 2 may be defective. TR1 might be defective. IC 4 or 5 might be defective.Start with the channel switching circuitry testing in the order I gave you. Check the actual clean channel circuitry to see if you actually have a clean channel anymore. Before you do any of this make sure you know enough about troubleshooting and have at least a good VOM and are familiar with safety procedures. The filter capacitors in this amp store enough charge to kill you. A cheat to partially discharge them without damaging the amp is to unplug it from the wall while it is hooked up to the speaker cab you are using while it is on at a very low volume with a guitar cord plugged in. Make sure you use exact replacement parts if you tackle this. They don't have to be from Marshall, they just have to be exact electronic equivalents from a quality manufacturer installed correctly. I would recommend that if you have no experience or are at all unsure of the repair to take it to a Marshall dealer to have it done. Please rate me if this helps.

I have a marshall avt 100 which was working fine until i plugged new guitar in strummed one chord and the speaker went **** up, so i plugged into another cab and played a while then a week later plugged in...

This is a problem I would recommend for a qualified Marshall amp service person to look at. Worst case scenario is that somehow the speaker out put transformer or the power transformer burned out. They aside from output tubes are the most expensive parts to replace. Add shop labor on top. Ask for an estimate first. Consider how much a new amp will cost and then decide. I would personally go for the repair myself.

If you have the pot out look on the edge of the metal can for the code. Take it in to a good electronics supplier for a match. You will need the same audio taper also.

4 x12 slant cab grill is ripped its a '' MARSHALL''

From behind the amp there shouls only be a couple os screws that hold that fron panel on, once removed you can take it off to work on it, you can get the same material from a good music store or even some type of fabric store or craft store.

Marshall MG100DFX noisy

Before you bring this into a shop, try spraying out all of the controls. Use an electronics switch cleaner that contains a lubricant. Spray into the control and work the control back and forth a number of times to loosen up any dirt inside. Then spray it again.

Let me know if that resolves the problem.

Thanks,
Dan
