I need to replace the power board crcfd2514-040 but cannot find a source. Do you know where I can order one?

Unfortunately, Bill, your model was manufactured by the original Fedders Company, which is no longer in business. Major parts for any of their products are almost nonexistent, which is the case for the power board you're looking for. In addition, according to my supplier, there is no substitution available for that part. This not only affects Fedders dehumidifiers, it also affects many Maytag dehumidifiers that were =made for Maytag, by Fedders.

I'm sorry, I wish I had news for you. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Buck, as you seem to be aware, Fedders no longer exist as the Fedders you may have been familiar with 8 years ago. Finding manuals and parts, is like looking for a needle in a hay stack. However, the new company Airwell-Fedders may be able to help you. There Customer Support Dept 866-829-2440, is who you need to contact.

There is one other possible source, as some parts are interchangeable. Appliance Factory Parts
http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/airconditioners/fedders/ does carry some of the older Fedders Parts, as well as Maytag. So, that may be worth a try.

Hope this helps you find the parts you need. Good luck and please let me know how it worked out for you. Thanks.

Dear Sir , the dehumidifier is running the motor is running, but not sending out any water. I have cleaned the filter.n Any recommendations?

Is it only the fan motor running that you hear? Or is it the compressor motor and the fan motor in combination?

If it's just the fan motor, it running to circulate the air, in an effort to sense humidity in the air, above the level you have the humidifier set on. Speaking of which, you may have the level set higher than what the humidity is in the house and the unit is just maintaining it. 50 to 60% is high, as opposed to 35%, which is what most folks want to maintain in the hot, humid, summer months.

If you want to test the unit, place in the bathroom, turn a hot shower ON, turn the humidifier ON and set it for 45% or minimum if your unit does not have a LED readout screen. Do Not turn the bathroom exhaust fan ON. As you leave the bathroom, close the door and don't return for 20 minutes. When you do, turn the shower OFF and check the humidifiers water collection bucket. If you see any water, the unit is working as it should. If you don't see any water, it's time to replace that unit. I say that because, at best, the parts and labor to repair the unit would be equal to or almost equal to, the price of a new dehumidifier.

Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks

Reservoir/tank leaks. There is a crack on the bottom. I would like to repair or replace the tank. I have had no luck finding a replacement tank. Thank you!

Fedders made your humidifier for Maytag. So, I searched my usual reliable parts sites and all of them said the same thing "No longer available". That was the case in searching for it as Maytag and Fedders. So, repairing the tank is you only option, for now.

The dehumidifier is running but no water is being eliminated from my damp basement

Florence, the air intake filter on the humidifier probably needs to be removed and cleaned. When they're dirty, the unit has to strain to take in the damp air. Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit, before attempting to remove the filter. Once the filter has been cleaned and dried (if necessary), plug the dehumidifier back in, turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON and set the controls as you normally would. After about an hour or more, you should notice water collecting in the bucket.

Hope this helped you solve the problem.

After the first year of owning this product it trips the breaker every time I turn it on. I have tried plugging it in to a different circuit and does the samething to that breaker also. What should I...

From what you described there is an electrical short or overloading problem within the dehumidifier. You should also check the cord and the plug from the unit, to be sure it's not worn or cracked. Look at the prongs of the plug. Are they damaged or bent?

To really attempt in-depth troubleshooting, you will need your Owners Manual , which hopefully would show a wiring schematic and a multi-meter circuit tester. I can tell you this, your humidifier was not manufactured by Maytag, It was manufactured by Fedders for Maytag.

The easiest thing you can do yourself, is check the the above, as well as filter (Does it need cleaning?) Remove the bucket and inspect the trigger mechanism for wear or damage. And if all else fails, contact Bob McIvor, Service Technician, 609-662-5323 for the Fedders Company. If you have your Proof of Purchase, there may be some warranty coverage left for parts, if needed.

Humidifier is freezing up

I have the same dehumidifier and it does the same thing. but I was able to fix mine. It was not low on refridgerant. There is a temp. sensor clamped to the evaporater coil with a thin metal clip. The clip rusted out and the sensor fell out of position. I used a small stainless steel hose clamp and clamped the sensor back into position. It now works fine

Missing hose adapter

It might be a problem since these units were made by Fedders for Maytag which is now owned by Whirlpool :inhale: but I found part number FD9520-010 "drain hose". If not, a length of dishwasher drain hose with a male garden hose fitting on one end would work fine
