CHANGING OPERATING SYSTEM: VISTA TO WINDOW7 TRIAL VERSION
I want to try the new window beta operating system. Should I continue to keep the VISTA installed or should I uninstall it? What will happen when the trial period will be over? My lap top came with vista pre-installed, with no vista cd software. I need your advice, PLEASE.

Re: CHANGING OPERATING SYSTEM: VISTA TO WINDOW7 TRIAL...
Keep the old system . Instal the new one leaving the old intact. Thsi is called a dual boot. When you turn it on it will give you the option of which version to run.
When insstall the new OS Beta it shoudl give you the options of :"Overwrite windows?" Say no. Then go ahead and install.
As to the question about your existing windows. Ifyou have not the reinstall cd's or the reinstal someone else on your hard driver, and you loose you present windows. You will usually have to purchase either the reinstal cd's or a new windows version.
I myself,of would make sure to have or make them before instaling anything else.

Yes, this computer's Operating system can definitely be upgraded to either windows vista, or Windows7. Firstly you wil need to remember that you will have to upgrade the ram module to at leas 1GB. 2GB being the maximum for this computer.
Also, i would rather load the 32bit version of the operating system than the 64bit.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any further assistance.
the one that you are trying to enter is the product key for your windows operating system. MS Office Home/Student 2007 edition has a separate product key. what was installed in your system is an MS Office Home/Student 2007 trial version. you need to purchase the product key at microsoft website.
It sounds like you are saying you have a Beta version of the operating system. If that is the case, you are correct in assuming it's causing the problem. I would bypass purchasing Vista and go buy a new version of Windows 7 which is much more stable and robust.
Using the Windows 7 Beta is meant to be a test version of the upcoming operating system, not a fully functional version. If your microphone cannot be heard on the other end, try downloading drivers for the microphone. If this does not work, try submitting a bug report to Windows to get a patch made to fix this issue.
Keep in mind, you are using a beta opersating system and your expectations should not be that of a stable release. Things are meant to break.
If your equipment is new and has the original operating system installed of factory it does not need activation, only that you have tried to update your operating system to another version of windows vista, in this case you must reinstall the operating system from the secret partition Invoking it with F11 or with Thinkadvantage's button (blue button) in the top part of your keyboard and of this form you leave the equipment as when to extract of the box the first time.
