Set up dl-523

Assuming you have connected your DSL/ADSL modem to the Wan port at the rear and connected one pc to the router via an RJ45 network cable into one of the Lan ports at the rear as it is easier to set up using a cable; first go to your wireless or wired connection in control panel>network connections, right click on it and select properties and and look on the TCP/IP line and highlight it and click properties and make sure obtain ip address is ticked, ok it and close window.

Next get into your router by typing in your web browser 192.168.0.1, type admin as username and the password leave it blank, then click the advanced tab and in the left of the menu click WAN and select PPPOE if you are ADSL or DSL, if cable select Dynamic IP address, click apply

Next type in your username and password given to you by your ISP to enable you to connect to the net.

Next click the DHCP tab and the home tab and ensure that enable is ticked as this will automatically give your pc's an ip address, click apply and basically you should now get a connection.

This solution might take a while, you need to be more specific on exactly what you want to do with your router, what operating system are u using, what is the current IP address of your machine and where exactly are you getting that error message that there is a problem with the connection?
