Question about Brother SE-270D Computerized Sewing Machine
The thread on the Brother pe 150 gathers up on the back of the material while its working looks a little like a small birds nest and then gets jammed down the hole the needle is working in any idea's of whats going wrong or if there is anyway I could sort this out
Perhaps the needle thread tension is too loose for the material your
sewing. It could be that your thread dog is clogged with thread (this
has happened to me) Check your bobbin, perhaps its just wound poorly.
OR the needle you are using is too fine/heavy for the thread.

The tension on the bobbin needs to be loosened until it is loose enough to allow the thread to go through the tension spring but with a small amount of efffort. Make sure your bobbin is put in to rotate counterclockwise. Make sure you have cleaned up your feed dogs. Change your needle and you might check to see if your thread is going through the needle freely without getting jammed. All of these will prevent a problem. Anyway, try to sew. If it is a little thick on the bottom then increase your top tension. A hint is that your bottom and top thread is playing tug of war. The bottom is winning if it is too thick and vice versa.

The tension on the bobbin thread seems to be the problem. How to I resolve this. Machine works for about three stitches then stops because of a jam of thread on the bottom of the material.
