Question about Toshiba Satellite A105 Notebook

1 Answer

Not audio toshiba A105A

I do not have audio. I have message "No audio device RTKHaud.sys on Realtek HD audio installation is needed" after I try to reinstall the device. Copy file c:\program files\realtek\installshield. Unfortunally I do not find Realtek file. Look like it is not any longer on my hard driver.
How I can load Realtek program?

You will need to reinstall the audio device driver.  go to toshiba.com and download the device driver for your machine.

Cant install realtek hd audio player error 401

Hello,

From your question, I deduce that:

1. You are installing a Sound Crad Driver from an OEM Vendor (Toshiba support site).
2. You are runnimg Windows XP. in the case of Windows Seven/Vista, these two platforms support a generic HD Audio Driver (hdaudio.sys as verified from the DirectX Diagnostic Tool)
3.In that case, you need to download and install:
(a). The Intel Chipset Drivers for your device.
(b). The Microsoft Unified Audio Architecture HD Audio Driver , which you can download here as a HotFix (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111). Click here to go to the link.
4. Once you have downloaded all these components and installed them, go on and install the Realttek HD Audio Driver from your OEM Vendor.

Good luck.

My sound is not working. Says correct driver is installed for Realtek HD Audio but I get message: "This device cannot start. (Code 10)." Also, I think it is related as my sound stopped working when I...

Actually you are not completely install your Realtek HD Audio. Continue to install with that "unknown device on high definition audio bus"by using your TOSHIBA Utility Disc you have. Let the system search the driver from the CD/DVD inserted. Then follow the instruction to complete your sound installation.
Tell us more what next is the problem unresolved but i'm sure that is works.
Hope this might help you.
Good luck!

I would try the realtek audio driver instead. there are two different audio drivers for that board. Here is the link:
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

select the socket 775 then look for the p5kpl board then look in the audio section and select the realtek driver
