I cannot get my computer to reconize my phone when I hook it up with the data cable. It will read the sd card and let me drag and drop data. I have installed "LG MOBILE PHONE DATA TRANSFER SUITE" and it gives me a list of phone to install but not a CU500. Auto detect cannot find it either. It has a "CE500" but it does not reconize it.Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? My data cord does have the "black box" in the middle of the cable.

As long as you have a memory card installed in your phone, you should have no problem. Use a micro SD card of no larger than 4 GB. Attach the cable to your phone and computer via an available usb port. Your pc will then recognize your memory card as a mass storage device, and you cn drag and drop your files to and from the computer.Make sure your phone usb connection is set to mass storage.
If you have a memory card in your phone, you dont need the pc suite, just the data cable, and your pc will regognize your memroy card as an external drive or storage device, and you can simply cut and paste files back and forth.
The easiest solution is to leave it as 'mass storage', then navigate to it, my computer, mass storage, ect, Then just right click & open it. Now open your pictures, music ect. on your PC, drag & drop to the phone. That's how I do mine. You will be able to drop them into whichever folder you want. You might have to drop them into a folder on the phone then copy & paste them to the SD card after you disconnect from the PC. If you have more questions leave a comment, I'll be happy to help. Good luck.
make sure that your phone has a memory card SD brand required, then right click on your "my computer" and go to where it says devices and removable storage you should see your lg on there then when ever you get music just drag it to the folder
