Short of having a shop look at it make sure all 3 (this one should have 3) fans are not covered in dust or dirty---

other possible issues are the lamp and or the Ballast that drives it.

Our panasonic microwave keeps shorting out

It sounds like the power relay on the main control is shutting down. To fix this problem you would need to replace the control (Mother board). Before doing that the magnetron (heat element) should be tested to make sure that it is not what caused the relay to fail.

If you send me your model number I can try and get a ball part price on the parts you need.

Panasonic Toughbook CF-51 shutting down

Sue, it's not the inverter board. People who don't really know much about laptops will often diagnose them incorrectly, especially computer repair shops. The problem you're experiencing is most likely related to your motherboard. Unfortunately the most expensive part to replace on most laptops.

Your best bet is to probably just have any important files from the laptop extracted by a repair shop and then selling the computer "As-IS" on ebay. Or you could try another local repair shop to take a look at it. I wouldn't pay any money for a diagnostics since it would take most techs about 5-10 minutes to confirm what I just typed.

Spedomoter cable/and trany sencer broblem

You may have a problem with your speed sensor. I had mine replaced with a similar issue. I would take it to someone you trust if you do not know how to replace it. I had it replaced once....Then in about 9 to 12 months later I lost my transmission. I had the tranny replaced and then the speed sensor again because when it was being worked on and the garage had problems getting the tranny to work properly after replacing it. Later I was told that the tranny actually didn't need to be replaced; it was just another bad speed sensor. Needless to say I do not go there any longer so make sure you trust your mechanic before spending all that money for not. Hope this helps

panasonic is well known for two capacitors 1200pf 2k volts, also it has been known to short out the mosfet transistor, it sounds like you only need to replace the caps.

Usually, when a Panasonic projection powers up for a few seconds and then shuts down, it is because one of the convergence IC's is shorted and drawing too much current. This is usually very easy to troubleshoot because the shorted IC causes one of the large reisitors near it to glow red hot just before the set shuts down. The set should be serviced by a qualified tech familiar with Panasonic projection sets.
