So I read the solutions posted and basically I am going to have to take apart the laptop to get to the CMOS battery. Thats what I was afraid of. The other solutions are the BIOS backdoor passwords which I already tried. Another solution is Hirens disk, which I have. The problem with that is that I can't boot anything up without first getting past the bios password. Uhhggg!!! Guess there's no easy way to do this but to take apart the laptop, which is harder to put back together than it is to take apart...lol
Ok, got a new problem. I took out one of the memory cards to see if it would fit in another toshiba laptop i have. when I put it BACK in, the screen remains black and wont even bring up the bios password window. The laptop tries to power up then turns off. I rechecked the memory card and it is in there securely. What happened?
