Power problem Onkyo Receiver Model number: TX-DS777 You can tell it is getting power hence the red light is on...but nothing happens when i hit the on button. Its been working for a long time and last night it when out...is there a protective fuse that could have went out? We try not to blast it since we have an 84 yr old neighbor. any help would be much appreciated thank you, danny boren

It may only need to be reset, unplug it for a min. plug it back in and try it.
Check your owners manual some will tell you how to reset them.

Also check for a jammed switch, press every switch one by one if one doesn't move that is the problem, you can possibly unjam it with a small screwdriver.

But it could need servicing.

My Onkyo TX-DS777 lost power. I believe this to be a blown fust, but am uncertain, any thoughts?

It seems like the internal fuse to me, too. But you could check to make sure that the receptacle works (maybe you've got a tripped breaker).
The manual also suggests unplugging and re-plugging the unit to clear "external noise" from the "computer circuits," but something tells me that you've already tried that.

No sound with the tx-sr606

This is a problem of DSP. If enter service mode,

Remote problem on onkyo TX-DS777

ya thats the universal remotes having list of codes .
first you set up with the code that should match for your revelent make and model of your dvd player.
so you just go through with codeing list that accompany with purchaseing of universal remote.
and set up with code particularly for your make and model of your dvd player.
and finaly try with your dvd player.

man I think i have the same problem....
i push the power button but immediatly the LED turns off. I cheked the fuse but thats not the problem. Please if you solve your problem let me know...

Same thing happened to our TX-DS777.

Took it to a locate electronic comany and they told us it was the

DSP board gone bad. Est 425.00 to 450.00 to fix.
