Resetting a Casio 130CR to default settings

Hi,

I need to totally reset a casio 130CR register to the default settings, as it keeps on playing up everytime i do enter a transaction, can you help?

    Hi,



    yeah, thanks for the reply. Well i have listed down some things the machine has been doing lately;



    * It has started to play up, i mean when i enter or type the digit key#1 as to enter $1.00, instead of digit num#1 appearing on the screen, digit num#5 appears and when i enter digit num#0 it gives an error code E message. If i enter AC key to clear the message, it gives digit num#3 on the screen and then E message again. With every Number or digit# i type gives a differnet digit num# appearing on the screen.



    * Trying to switch to program mode it won't work either, when ever i type or enter a digit something else comes up and all the time error key message is displayed and nothing seems to work.



    Seems to me as if the machine is in some kind of confusion state and needs re-programing. As i have been trying and still can get no where, plis if you could help that would be great.

    Hi,



    Thanks for the info... but should i have liquid spillage on the keyboard, should that mean i have to buy or purchase a new keyboard pad or new DC controller board, whatever it is called or is there anything i can do to make the cashier work normally again.

    Hi,



    Yes, i have tried RAM memory clearing but that doesn't seem to work either, i suggest my keyboard board controller assembly or keyboard pad might be faulty, might from any spillage as you have already indicated.

    Can you plis go into the keyboard cleaning process as you have suggested, maybe it might help solve my mystery play-up to my cashier.

Hi.
It is unlikely to be a memory problem. If you can explain the symptom then I might be able to give some advice. How is it playing up? Please describe the button sequence and what the machine is doing wrong.

    Ok. You can try a full RAM clear.
    You should find AA batteries in the printer compartment under a battery cover. Pull one battery out, Turn off at wall for 5 minutes.
    Turn back on. Put battery back in. If it worked, then the date should be wrong.

    If it still has problems, then the keyboard probably has an issue such as liquid spillage. it is very common.

    If the spillage hasn't eaten away the internal tracks of the keyboard, then the KB can be stripped down and cleaned. I can advise further if you need to go into the keyboard. See what happens after you try the RAM clear.

    Remove the top of the cash register. Turn it over. Remove the screws from the bottom plate on the back of the keyboard. remove the plastic membrane inside the keyboard (it has little tracks running all over it). Separate the layers of the plastic membrane. They should be dry. If you see any liquid at all in there, then you need to thoroughly wash the layers in warm soapy water, then dry them well. Reassemble and test.

I cant remember the clerk key. how do i restart it?

We have a Casio 130cr cash register and when we print the reset report, the amounts is not clearly readable. The 1 000 prints over the 100 and is not alligned propperly. How do I fix it?


They are cheap printers and not designed to last. It is common when they are worn or dirty. Clean the rubber drum and any ink or muck from the printer. Check the ink roller. Make sure it is fresh and rolling freely. If it doesn't improve, you just replace the printer as a unit. See a dealer for this. -----------------------------------------------------

How to print the stores name in casio 130cr


This model is too basic to print text. it has a tiny drum printer so it can print numbers. Move up to one of the SE-S models to print text.
