Make sure that your coils in back or on the bottom of the refrigerator are clean. Alot of the times when the coils are dirty, The unit is trying too hard and will not be as efficient.

Hotpoint refridgeerator side by side fan not working nor does the compressor?

First thing I'd do is defrost it completely, that means turning it off for a few hours with door open & letting the ice melt, you could be getting a buildup of ice in your freezer jamming the fan before the automatic defrost has time to clear it. Also check that the seals are sealing completely, (that can allow frost to form in freezer), if not use a hair dryer to soften them (gently) & mould them back into line.

I have 2003 E500 Mercedes. A/C upfront is cold , but on the back the hot air is coming out. What should I do?

hi...
this may be because of following reasons.

1.the refrigirant is undercharged. that is the quantity of refrigirant is less. so please charge with more refrigirant
2.there may be some blockage in the duct reaching the back side.but this is in very little chance of this cause.
3.may be small hole in the duct reaching back side.

if you feel my anwers helped you please rate me.

GE GSS25LGMA refrigirator/freezer refrigirator side is freezing

There is an electrically activated air dampener in the upper left back side of the refrigerator section which most likely has broken (in the open position), allowing cold air from the freezer to continue to enter the fresh foods section. Replace the dampener assembly.

Magnetic divider strip is hot. Temperature not cold enough

Yes this is normal. The heat strip is there to prevent moisture from forming around the the door frames. It also is most noticeable if the heat wave is causing your refrigerator to struggle to cool. Cleaning the coil below the refrigerator and making sure good air circulation in that area will help. If you have any questions please let me know and visit my siites. Please rate me if this was helpful, Thanks Sea Breeze

The refrigerator temperature is too cold. Everything is freezing.

there is a dial that regulates your temperature, this is inside the refrigirator, look for it and should say cold to coldest, put it in cold or if it has number from 1-5 just put in 3

I did some research online, and read that the Start Relay is most commonly the problem. My husband bought the part, (about $50) and reattached it to the side of the compressor....and was cold immediately! apparently a very common problem on these fridges.

Freezer and Refrigirator not cooling

You didn't say if the compressor is running or not. If it is and all other things you stated are running then it has a sealed system problem. The sealed system comes with a 5 yr warranty in most cases (check owners manual). If the compressor is not running then listen for a click at the compressor. If you hear the click then I would replace the relay on the compressor. If you need further help I will need the complete model # off the sticker inside the fridge section.
