Question about Dishwashers
Sounds like the pump is running but clogged. You might want to 1-remove as much water as possible by cupping it out manually,2- turn the breaker off and ensure no power, 3- take off bottom cover, 4-locate drain line (it will go into cabinet under kitchen sink-hooked up to sink line more than likely) and take off pump on dishwasher end and take off sink. you can remove the hose and see if and where clog is located.Grease is sometimes a culprit or other bits and pieces of food build up. You should also investigate the area where the drain line hooks into the unit and ensure that is clear. reconnect hose under sink and fish thru hole in side of cabinet to back of dishwasher. someone else or you can then reach under dishwasher to reconnect line to dishwasher. make sure drain is hose is connected properly at both ends! You'll probably need a phillips head screwdriver, 1/4" nutdriver and a pair of pliers

If you have the patience and time, you can use a toothpick to unclog all those little holes.
Most likely the clogging is a result of a combination of slightly hard water and food particles, etc.
I've found that you can use some readily available dishwasher cleaning solutions to help clean it out. You run an empty machine through a complete cycle with the solution (available at most big box and appliance stores, etc.) and it will help disolve the gunk in the sprayer arms, as well as help remove any stains on the top, sides, and bottom of the tub.
I've also used white vinegar added to the wash cycle, once the DW is full of water (I add in 2 cups of white vinegar to the wash water) without any dishwashing detergent, and is seems to helps disolve any deposits in places I can't get to by hand
Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
