Re: restart ss-2250 strawberry shortcake dvd player after...
You should be able to simply shut the unit off, & turn it back on after a few minutes. This will reboot the player & it should perform normally. If this fails, look for a tiny reset switch somewhere on the unit. It will be marked, but may be a tiny hole with very small lettering, that requires a pencil point to activate.

I have found either way is fine. I leave them whole if I'm going to use them for a particular dessert and I think it would make a better presentation. If I'm going to make strawberry jam, jelly, syrup or even shortcake sauce I cut them in half or quarters.
These rules are for the very similar game from Strawberry Shortcake called Berry Princess Hide and Seek Game: Strawberry Shortcake and her friends need to find all their accessories in time for the ball. You can help them seek out their belongings by using your memory skills. The first player to collect his/her belongings and get to the castle entrance in the middle of the game board wins. Mix up the princess cards and deal one out to each player. If there are only two players you can each play two cards. The princess you receive is your teammate. Take your princess card and place it face up in front of you. Each princess card has a matching play piece. Take your matching princess play piece and place it on the matching princess start space on the game board. Next, mix up the princess accessory discs, berry jewel side up, and place them randomly into the holes on the game board. The youngest player goes first, and play passes to the left. Spin the spinner and move the same number of jewel spaces shown. If the spinner lands on a line, spin again. Two players can be on the same space at the same time. Once you enter the game path, you may move your princess play piece in any direction on the board. The castle entrance space in the middle of the game board can be used as any other space until the end of the game. When you land on a space with a disc, pick up the disc and do one of the following: 1) If the accessory on the princess disc matches one of the missing accessories on your princess card, place it on the corresponding accessory on the card and your turn ends. Play passes to the player on your left. 2) If the accessory disc does not match an accessory on your princess card, show it to the rest of the players and place it face down back into the same hole. Play passes to the player on the left. Once a princess accessory disc is taken from the baord, that hole becomes a magic tunnel space. If you land on a hole that does not have a disc, you may move to any place on the game board. The Winner: The winner is the first player to find all of the accessories on his/her princess card and land his/her princess play piece on the castle entrance space in the center of the board. To win, you must land on this space by exact count. NOTE: You may not use a magic tunnel space for your final move.
First clean the laser head with a Qtip and alcohol. It gotta be
perfectly clean, so wipe with fresh brand name qtip and make sure there
is not a single dust particle on it. You gotta remove the cabinet with
star screwdriver. Your beam might be tired. First try with the clean up! Unplugg before opening!
Pal output will only work when it is plugged into a pal tv. The only way you can restore is to use the remote to put the settings back to ntsc without using the display. That should work. If you don't have a pal tv you should never change devices to run on it, because it can damage your tv set. The scanning lines are very different between the two systems.
I don't think there is a Direct TV remote code for this type of television. (Strawberry Shortcake). I'm assuming the reason is because this is such a cheap, generic tv that Direct doesn't recognize it. "Strawberry Shortcake" isn't as big as "Hello Kitty" I guess. . This is sad because even though the big, pink power button has popped off to where you have to press the little rubber nub, my daughter has been using hers for well over two years where many reviewers have given the tv model bad reviews of breaking down after only 6 months. Hers did not come with a DVD player, although it IS a SS213 model.
Go to menu and sub menu video .Under video option you will see video formatt,e.g Pal,NTSC.You confrim your tv standered if its pal or NTSC (this you can check at back of your tv set ,not always mention but most of them are printed)On your dvd player
you have to select same formatt as your tv .If not sure of you tv system try auto system on you player.
NB dont select progressive scan by mistake otherwise you will not see any picture on your tv if its not progressive scan tv.
If you could mention tv and dvd model and brand will be able to advise you exactly.
Codes are hard to come by for this brad as it more than likley is s a sub brand for a major mfg. however you can take your dish remoter and use a powerscan to find a correct code. do this by holding down the SAT button till all lights light up at the top, then enter the code 500 then press pound, Now press the SAT again till they light up then release, then press teh big red power buton once, then press teh blue up arrow onece every 2 seconds until you tv shuts off, ( dont go to fast or you will pass up code. as soon as your tv shuts off, press the pound key and your ready to go with power and volume.
Scrolling/black-and-white/"out of tracking" display on a DVD player is generally caused by the DVD player being switched into Progressive Scan mode on a TV not capable of viewing that content. Scan the remote for a button labeled Progressive, I/P, P.Scan, or anything similar. Scan the user manual for information on resetting this also. If the manual and remote come up dry, call Protron and see if there's a key combo you can hold to reset that. Often, holding Play for 5-10 seconds will reset to standard (Interlaced) mode, or holding Stop while turning the unit on. Sometimes, holding Display on the remote for a few seconds will also switch this setting. Good luck.
Could be that some combination of the progressive scan and the line input is confusing your system. Sometimes the line doubler on the TV set causes this when recieving a 480p input. If this effect doesn't reproduce on another set, then there you have it.
Try turning progressive scan off, or change between the analog(yellow) video, the component(RGB), and the S video(fat one with pins).
