Question about Konica Minolta Kip 3000 Series Printer

Open Question

Kip 3000 voids on 30" paper but not 36" paper

All of the guides are present. Several new rolls of paper tried. It does the same on scanned prints and printed prints. The 3' wide paper prints with no voids but the 30" paper leaves voids scattered around - usually within 6 inches of the right side edge. My service techician has looked at it twice with no solution. Has anyone out there came across this before? I appreciate your helping in advance!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: I am trying to print

Check your printer preferences. Check inside the printer if it has some paper jam.
Cancel all your printer jobs, turn off the printer - Turn on the printer and try again

SOURCE: Magicolor 2300dl horizontal paper folding

I kept digging until I found some helpful, lucky people that stumbled across a solution. The cost of doing the repair yourself is about $1 for superglue.

I detailed the repair in my blog: http://dlburkhart.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!5BA5F950B86A8BE5!182.entry.

I don't know if that URL will work as a permanent link. So, just in case, the same information is on my business web site on the Tech Tips page: http://www.BurkhartTech.com/Tips.html.

I hope to have helped.

If anyone can use a custom web site, I can really use the work. I left work a couple of years ago to be a stay-at-home dad and to try to start up a web site business. Things started out okay. But the economy soured, all of my business dried up, and now I can't find full time employment.

Does not feed properly. Grabs several sheet at one time. thank you

several things could cause this. Try fanning your paper and turning it around, it can stick when stored for any length of time, also make sure the tray guides are up flush against the paper to stop any movement. Try cleaning the feed roll and tray pad (if present) with a soft damp cloth. I would advise turning the printer off for cleaning. If all that fails, try changing the paper.
Hope this helps.

PRINTER DO NOT ACCEPT PAPER ON HP DESIGNJET 450C

I don't know if you are running in sheet or roll media, but we have this problem with roll media if it is not aligned properly. Usually if I release the media lever and pull 10-12" of paper through and align it with itself and with the dotted line to the right of the plotter, then it will accept it. Sometimes takes several tries. Sheet problems may be caused by dirty sensors. Good luck.

Printing Borderless at 42" width?

Set the roll size to 44 inch, set your left margin to 0 (in your preprint software), experiment. With margins set at 0, using Onyx Productionhouse 7.3, the 9800 will print approx 41.8 inch image on 42 inch roll 43.8 on 44, etc. This is considered borderless printing. No matter what size roll you tell the printer it has in it, it will print to about an eighth to a sixteenth of an inch short of the paper's actual edge (that's the left side of the roll paper coming out of the printer - the right side of the print). If you load, for example, a 36 inch roll, tell the printer its a 44 inch roll, and send a 40 inch wide print, with a left margin of 0 it will print around 35.8 inches, cutting off the image just before it would overprint and get ink on the machine (1/8 - 1/16inch before the edge of your 36 inch stock). It is possible that these tollerances will be different depending on what software you send your images with... hope this helps!
