Why is there no eject button for my disc tray

If the laptop boots and has an operating system installed, just go through the operating system's File Explore (usually opened by click the folder icon on the side or bottom). From there, right click the optical drive (it has a disc icon) and select "Eject".

Manual eject button

You ought to read your instruction manual. If the button is not in the centre of the drawer, it may be on the top right hand side of the keyboard. Unfortunately you didn't disclose the model number. Another way to open the drawer is to open your My Computer and right hand mouse click on the drive. You can then choose eject in the menu.

Where is the eject button on my acer

Without knowing the model number of your laptop, the quickest way to eject/open the CD:
  • Click on Start
  • Right click on My Computer
  • Left click on Explorer/View/Open
  • Right click on your CD drive listed to the left side
  • Left click on Eject

My laptop doesn't have an eject button either, it's integrated into the media player.

Hope this helps!

My CD is stuck in my Toshiba Satellite A505D laptop slot, with no hole near the Eject button.

Look on the cover on the tray near the eject button. Should be a tiny hole.
Get something like a straightened out paperclip and insert it in to the hole and push firmly but carefuly. It's an emergency eject for a stuck tray.
