Samsung srf527dsls french door 12 vdc connection to control board shorted and is loading down the dc control voltage need circuit diagram to find out what this blue 5 pin connection goes to so i ma

On the control board there is a blue connector that only has 2 wires coming off it the pins it uses are 12vdc and ground measuring across the wires shows a short. this is obiviously loading down the dc control voltage so when the connector is pluged in, nothing functions. disconnected the fridge and freezer get to there set temps, display works everything appears to function. need a circuit diagram that shows what components plug into the board so i can replace the faulty one

    Wires to door element where broken then joined together using bluetack lol they where also shorted which loaded down the dc control voltage on the main controller board hence a dead fridge/freezer. Reconnected wires correctly and fridge is now functioning perfectly. The blue tacked wires was done durring the manufacture so i serriously question samsungs quality control and manufacturing procedures. Bonus to me for i bought a dead samsung 528l french door fridge/freezer for $50 and now have a brandnew one valued at $2299RRP lol Thankyou to anyone that has tried to help and i hope this helps others in the future in repairing there own.

I just went through this with my refridgerator and actually posted one of the questions. Here is what I found ........

In the freezer compartment behind the panel there is an evaporator fan which pulls cold air from the freezer and pushes it up into the refrridgerator compartment. If the fan is not working it is one of three things.. 1) there is so much frost in the fan area the fan blade is stopped and cannot push the cold air into the refridgerator compartment or the air channel is blocked. 2) there is no electricity going to the fan (usually tied to the door switch of the refirdgerator compartment, and 3) the motor is dead and will have to be replaced.

Solution to #1 - defrost but there is another problem in the "frost-free" part of the system which must be addressed or the frost will return and it will happen again in the future.

Solution #2 - check to see there is power to the fan. (most are 110VAC but some are 100VDC. Use a meter and check)

Solution #3 - If there is power, the motor is dead. Replace the motor. Be aware that AC and DC motors are different and replace per manufacture's specifications.

I will will help you with this, but you must follow my instructions. These are not easy unit to repair, and your troubleshooting technic may have even caused more problems. You should never power on a receiver with connectors unplugged. Since the 15 pin connector is used for the audio signals only (CN559) you may be OK, but please do not do this anymore unless you are willing to create a lot of smoke.

Since this unit does turn on without that one connector plugged in, I will assume that you do not have a blown channel even though it is the most common reason for these to go into "Protect Mode" which is what yours is doing. They go into protect mode to keep the receiver from causing more damage to the circuits and to prevent fires.

I think the most likely reason your unit is going into protect mode is because the negative 15 volt regulator on the main board is bad. This regulator is located by ref # IC102 and is on a small heat sink in the power supply area of the main amp board. Since you have the manual for this unit you should be able to find the part number and location very easy.

The second most likely reason for your problem is a resistor, ref # R184, it is a 10 ohm 1 watt resistor and it is right next to the pre-amp board on the main board. It is near CP501 but on the other side of the pre-amp board towards the output transistors a little. Check this resistor first with an ohm meter, see if it is at 10 ohms. If not, get a 10 ohm 1 watt flameproof resistor and replace it. Then make sure everything is plugged in right and try it again.

If the resistor is good, then go to the voltage regulator, you can check it by measuring the voltage at resistors R145 and R146. If you look at the schematic for that area, you will see that those resistors are connected to both the positive 15 regulator and the negative 15 volt regulator. One side of R146 should measure -15 volts and the other side of R146 should be at 0 volts. Then measure R145. You should have +15 volts on one side and 0 volts on the other side. If the voltage you measure there is not within a couple of tenths of a volt either way, change the voltage regulator that is bad. If all you get is positive voltage on R146 and no negative voltage, then IC102.

Now you are probably wondering, how can you check those voltage if the unit is shutting off right away. Here is how. Have you meter probes in place before turn the unit on, watch the meter while is is turning on. You only need a few seconds to check each one. Check R146 first, then after the unit shuts off, check R145 when you turn it back on again. This is much safer than unplugging connectors and letting the amp idle with unbalanced voltages which could cause an extreme current draw if left on too long.

If you can not verify any problems with those two things above, then you really do need to check the amp circuits. You can do this with no power connected, but you must take out the main board with the big heat sink. Once you get it out, check the output transistors and start with the pair that is located at the inner most spot of the heat sink. The area close to the display and CNT board. That is the most common channel to go bad. If either one of those transistors mounted on the big heat sink measures shorted of very low in ohms, that is the bad channel. If you have a bad channel, there will be many more parts to replace, I will let you knwo what those are if you find any shorted output transistors. You can not check the amp circuit any other way, you will only be getting a reading across the relays if you try to check it at the speaker outputs. The speaker relays never open unless the unit comes out of protect mode first.

Where is the problem with "-DC bus low" EX11RT?

How are you checking the batteries? If you are simply reading the voltage with a multimeter, then this is probably your issue. The batteries, when getting worn out, will often show full voltage in a static (non-loaded) state, but as soon as they are called on to produce load, their voltage will drop significantly, thus giving the DC bus low indication. Batteries in UPS's are similar to car batteries, they need to be tested under load to ensure they are good. If they are three years old or older, chances are they need to be replaced.

Xantrex inverter error codes

This information expands upon the error code information contained in the Link 2000 Owner?s Manual.
E-01 Inverter high DC/Battery voltage shutdown Battery voltage has risen above 15.5 VDC for 12-volt models or 31 VDC for 24-volt models.
E-02 Inverter low DC/Battery voltage shutdown Battery voltage has dropped below 10 VDC for 12-volt units or 20 VDC for 24-volt units.
E-03 Inverter or Charger overtemp shutdown Unit will reset automatically after it has cooled sufficiently.
E-04 Battery overload Caused by excessively discharged batteries. See section in inverter owner?s manual titled ?Charging overdischarged batteries.?
E-05 AC Backfeed AC power from an outside source has been fed to the AC output of the inverter. Potentially damaging to the unit. Disconnect incoming AC power and correct the situation.
E-06 Electronic Overload Inverter overload caused by too large a load or a short circuit. Reset by cycling power switch or connecting incoming AC power.
E-07 Triac control error Triac has overheated. Shut down unit and allow to cool.
E-08 High battery voltage shutdown during charge mode Check all charging sources for proper voltage. Reset by cycling the power switch.

Motor tripping out power supply

The input to your treadmill is about 120 volts Ac. The output from the board will be about 30 Ac. Almost nothing on there will be measured in DC. Your particular issue is your motor controller. It needs to be replaced.

On my goodman ssz160481ab heat pump. When going into either heat or cool mode the contactor won't hold. its as if the coil voltage is going on and of very fast causing the contacts to burn out. I replaced...

Disconnect the yellow Y1 wire from the thermostat to the control board in the air handling unit and read the voltage from C - common to the yellow wire. It should be 24 VAC, 0 VDC. If it is, cconnect the wire back to the control board. Now, disconnect the yellow Y1 wire at the outdoor condenser. You should have 24 VAC, 0 VDC. If you have the lower ac voltage and the dc voltage, you may need to replace the control board. Please shut down power before removing or connecting wires and remember to wait for the 3 minute delay before checking the voltage

Hello, I am trying to fix the monitor LG L1951s that does not power on, I found the 68uF*450V capacitor bad, replaced this one but problem ramains. I have measured most of the componets on the power board...

The 68UF 450 is for the primay smps driving side, are you getting about 160vdc on that cap?
The PWM IC get the kick start DC voltage from the main bridge rectifier thorough a bunch of high resistance resistor to drop the 160vdc down to aboit 15vdc, once the PWM IC start working, one the winding will be the supplying the voltage to the IC to keep it running. If the DC output side detect short cirsuits (drawing too much current) it will go into shutdown, you need to find out if the inverter circuits has short circuits. The 5vdc and the 12~18vdc power supply will be running the minute you plug it in, you can solder in a 12v bulb at the DC output that feeds the inverter circuits (you can solder it directly on the DC filter caps for the 12~18 VDC filter caps of the inverter circuits). See application notes how this IC is used.

Your inverter circuits and/or power board need servicing.....

Either three fault scenarios are happening:

1. the inverter circuits are not producing AC ripple too the CCFL lamps that illuminate the LCD glass panel.

2. the power supply board is not feeding 24vdc - 12vdc sustain voltage too the inverter circuits. Meaning, no dc high voltage output from the power board.

3. The timing control circuit (LCD Board) has shorted switching devices or on-board memory has failed....which causes data/dc loss at the input which results in the inverters canceling load power (lamps). The sync data between inverter and LCD Board are absent. This will result in a 'NO LIGHT' condition on the LCD display.

Number 3 is a rare case, its usually #1 the inverters need servicing.....

Wet Clothes • Very small clothes loads can cause unbalanced loads - add additional towels. • Excessive suds may have been present. • Check Tub Displacement Sensor connection and main harness connector at machine control board. • Check Tub Displacement Sensor for 0 to 3.0 Volts DC output voltage between ground and the board input. Check for 12 Volts DC input voltage between the ground and the board output. Only check for voltage at the Tub Displacement Sensor. Do not perform a continuity check. See Tub Displacement Diagnostics • Excessive motion was detected in spin Run Quick Spin Test with an empty tub to check Tub Displacement Sensor and machine control board. • Check for restricted drain system.

Tv does not turn on. Makes ticking clock sound ?


The blinking light means the controller QA01 in the AV_TERM system board is booting and driving the TIMER/REC RED LED light accordingly. This failure mode is true for many conditions, not exclusively for the main PS board PE0071. It could be caused by many things, LOW B, SEINE, AV_TERM, LCD, PROTECT, etc.

Specifically for PE0071+12VDC circuit failure, which is the most common , listen for the LINE relays SR80, SR81 coming online.(ticking clock sound) If several (3) or more clicks are present when applying power to the TV set then suspect the +12, 20, +32 VDC inverter is faulty.

As a quick check, you can disconnect P807B. If the relays cycle every 1-2 seconds then is most definitely the +12VDC inverter. Check for voltage level at optocoupler Q881 pin 4 and this should not be cycling. This point is the VCC for the oscillator. Repair or replace board 75002913 as necessary.

TROUBLESHOOTING: (this is my own, not the OEM !, try at your own risk!)

  1. Check for LINE1 input voltage level at inverter on sheet [4].
  2. Check for LINE2 input voltage level at inverter on sheet [3].
  3. Check for STBY +5VDC & +25 VDC ( observe correct GND REF) page [4]of PE0071 POWER
  4. Check for +22 VDC out of regulator on page [3] out of Q822 Emitter
  5. Check P809B connector for :
  • P809B (12) POWER = 3.00 VDC (+/-0.2)
  • P809B (11) POWER_SIG = 0.00 VDC (HIGH to Power on TV)
  • P809B (10) PROTECT = 0.00 VDC
  • P809B (9) ACDETECT = 3.00 VDC (+/-0.2)
  1. Check for PFC_OUT = 368-371 VDC
  2. Check for +12, +20 & +32 VDC inverter page [5] of schematic manual.

For +12 VDC Inverter, suspect components:

Q880 STR-W6765 PSR (works really hot!!)
D884A and related switching circuit components.

Yamaha PSR-280 : AC power instead of DC power

An answer, but likely not a solution. I believe all Yamaha PSR series keyboards use the same 12 VDC adaptor, so I looked at the electrical schematic for another model I have. There seems to be no fuse on the power input. There are two components shown on the positive and negative wires off the power socket, but the symbols do not look like anything I have seen for fuses - they may be resistors. Power goes directly to a 5 VDC voltage regulator, which powers all of the solid state componenents. Too much voltage of the wrong type could have easily ruined many of the sensitive components.

Your only hope is to check the power socket area for the possibility of having fuses. My drawing shows the power socket, voltage regulator, and audio power amplifier being on one circuit board. That may not actually be the way it is in your model.
