Question about Belkin 150 N Router
I'm electronically challenged. I have Comcast modem 5101 for my desktop. I bought Belkin router 150. How do I hook it up to use my Kindle Fire?
There should be a quick connect chart that came with your router!
However a router normally has 5 ports, 4 together and one separate from the other 4 and sometimes has a different color.
Unplug power from your modem, then plug the port on the modem to the one by itself on the router.
The 4 ports that are together are where you plug in up to 4 devices "Computers, Printers, Network Drives"
Now plug the power back into your modem and wait until the modem syncs back up to your provider.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

You may have a phone line connected from the modem to a wall outlet. Count the number of cables coming out of your modem - you should have only three: the power cable (connects to the wall), Cat 5 (also connects to the wall), and ethernet (running from the modem to the router).

Do a powercycle. Make sure to completely turn off the modem, router, after 30 seconds, turn on the modem first then the router.
If that will still not work, perhaps there is a need to update the software of your router.

Hi, I had the same problem with my MBP and the best solution I found was:
Dissable the Wlan security and use Mac Address control only for the wireless. This will keep your network secure anyway and you can connect normally.
The only inconvenience is that when you want to connect other computers to your wireless you have to enter its MAC address on the list.
Remember to set the list as Allow.

You may need to call your internet provider if this is a new router.
If this is not new, was it working before?

Just hook it all up, and push and hold the reset button in the back of the router for 10 sec..
Then unplug your internet box, [cable/DSL box] and plug back in,
The internet box will send a IP to your router automaticly.
[If it dont work unplug power from both boxes, then back in but plug the internet box in first..]
if your useing wireless this will not be setup with a password to join, and will be open to neighbors,,
If you want to go to the next step and setup a password to join, you can do this with out the cd also, but get it working first and hit me back
