Question about Kodak EasyShare Z710 Digital Camera

1 Answer

KODAK CAMERA I can put fresh batteries in and take a few pics download them shut it off then turn it back on, and it will not let me, it shuts off just about as soon as I turn it on. I can take the same batteries out and put them back in and it will work for a few minutes then there it goes, its turns itself off. I went to try to get another one and they said since itwas 10 days past the 30 day limit. I had to get ahold of you. I really feel like throwing it in the dam River.

Hi,
I found that most digital cameras are fussy. They need the right type of battery. Try using energiser rechargables. They last longer and are the cheapest that work. Don't bother with cheap batteries they don't work.

1. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera. Please make sure that you are installing a fresh/ fully charged battery c. Turn the camera on. 2. Without the memory card, turn your camera on. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty) 3. Please test with the a different battery If you do not have access to another battery Try these steps instead: Please take the battery out of the camera. b. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the battery. If you camera doesn?t switch on you will need to order a no power repair with KODAK or a new cable. 4. The alternative is a repair. Kodak EasyShare Z612 Shuts down after taking a few pictures.

Question : What batteries can I use in my digital camera, and how long do they last?
Battery life depends on how you use your camera, the type of batteries you select, and how you handle the batteries.

Your camera is compatible with: KODAK Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery KLIC-8000 and KODAK CRV3 Lithium Batteries: A non-rechargeable battery. (so your battery might be in need of a change)

Using Your Camera

Some features, such as reviewing pictures and using the flash, require more power than others. Follow these guidelines to get the best use of your batteries:
  • Limit the time your camera is in Review mode.
  • Limit your use of the flash.
  • Use the LCD Dimmer or Auto Power Off features, if available on your camera.
  • Transfer your pictures to your computer using a compatible power adapter, camera dock, printer dock, or memory card reader.
  • Check that the latest firmware is installed on your camera. See Software, Driver & Firmware Downloads.
Handling Your Batteries
  • Wipe the battery contacts with a clean, dry cloth before loading it in your camera.
  • When using your camera in temperatures below 41° F (5° C), carry spare batteries and keep them warm.
  • Do not discard cold batteries that do not work; they may be usable when they return to room temperature.
  • Do not allow batteries to touch metal objects, including coins. Otherwise, the batteries may short-circuit, discharge energy, become hot, or leak.

I have a Kodak M763. The camara don't want to turn on. Don't work

If you have recently dropped the camera you may have damaged the lens tube (housing). This damage will prevent the lens from moving properly and will cause the camera to shut itself off after a few seconds. If the lens is damaged the camera will require professional repair. If the lens is not damaged, the problem may be battery related. Make sure that you have the correct battery type installed, and that the batteries are fresh/fully charged. If the problem persists, you may have corrosion on the battery contacts inside that camera that is preventing full battery power from flowing to the camera. Remove the batteries and wipe the inside camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sand paper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and reinstall them in the camera. This cleaning solves the problem about 90% of the time, and I hope it works for you.

Kodak Z812 shuts off automatically

It is a high-powered camera, also knows as a GREAT camera. Use CRV-3 lithium duracell batteries. I have the same camera and the same "problem", but when I use that battery it lasts forever.
