I have the CD for my printer Canon PIXMA MG2100, It starts to download the CD, but a few minutes, it comes back saying about a spooler it was stop, it will need to be restarted or restart the machine. this is what the pop up is saying to do.
It is most likely referring to the Windows print spooler. I would uninstall the software installed so far and go to the Canon website and download the drivers specifically for your operating system. This can sometimes occur when you have drivers for an older Windows version and are installing them on a new Win7/Win8 machine. Also check compatibility some printers are not compatible with the newer operating systems.

Hi - Below is a link for your drivers and software. Just choose your operating system. Sometimes the site is slow. If there is more than one version of any software get the latest version.
