Siemens masterguard A 3000 UPS help

There is a problem with the UPS unit i'm working on, which keeps bleeping every 30 seconds or so. It points to the batteries (according to the manuals) but after checking every battery in both the UPS and battery pack and finding out that they are working as required I can't believe that it's the battery pack or any of the batteries. I have a muli-link program and attached a 232 to comm port 3 (the only available port) but it can't detect anything using this program. I suspect it needs a reset but the manual doesn't advise on any of these matters. Any help would be great.

SOURCE: I have a UPS Smart

Unplug your UPS from the wall. Disconnect the batteries. Push the on button. LED's may flash. This is how to reset the logic. Connect the batteries and plug back in. Everything should be reset.

?many battries are using in galaxy 3000 g3k

If the Galaxy 3000 is a 10 or 15 KVA UPS, you need 20 batteries of the 12v 20ah if the UPS has standard backup time.
If it is a 20 or 30 KVA, probably it needs 24 batteries.
Talking about the 20 or 30 KVA UPS, if the battery is 34ah, it uses 24 batteries; in any other case it uses 20 batteries.

I have a Siemens Masterguard UPS A3000 model. I gives out an audible alarm (bleep) once every minute. The unit has had new batteries installed but the problem persists.

Are you sure the batteries installed are new? Sounds like a low battery alarm.

What's causing the beeping and the unit to not work (apc ups rt 3000)

Its because your wire joint to the ups may have gone or its internal bridge may hace gone off. So try to exchange the wire with a new wire supporting high voltage.

Any timer working? Any keys on the remote are jammed? Do you get the same problem even when you use some other input like a DVD player?

I have mge galaxy 3000 single unit 30 kv who shown those messages: defaut refroidissemt defaut temp batterie thank you for you help

sounds like you have a battery in thermal runaway. That means your battery could catch fire. I don't know what refroidissemt is. Your spelling is wrong. Go back to the UPS and write down the right alarms. Then I can help you.

I have a APC 3000 (SUA3000rmi2U). It starts up ok, but keep beeping (long one) and just cannot stop. It hold power, just the beeping won't go. What's wrong with it? Any idea?

Hi Tyrone,

It's most likely a faulty battery connection or bad batteries. Check connections or replace batteries and unit should work okay.

NEED UPS FOR MY DBS576

Tony166, according to the web, the Panasonic DBS 576 single cabinet phone system will run at a peak wattage of 360 or 3.3 amps. 3.3 amps x 120V = 396 VA.

Also, this is a very sensitive device and needs good clean power to eliminate frequency variations and line noise. You should put this system on an On Line or Double Conversion UPS. Not a Line Interactive or an Off Line unit! Those are the 3 UPS industry standard technologies. The Off Line technology is simply a battery in a box. It can break down a clean sinewave input and feed your connected load a stepwave signal. The Line Interactive unit will provide a sinewave while on battery power, but not during normal operation. Only a true On Line UPS will provide pure sinewave power 100% of the time!

I would suggest at least a 1kVA or 1.5kVA Liebert GXT2 product!
